At 6:42 in the recapitulation the secondary theme comes back but this time in Cminor. This to me is the most dramatic part of the quintet. Try to remember that beautiful secondary theme in the exposition in Eb Major and how it is transformed. Mozart had a plan.
yes I'd like to think he must have loved this piece a lot that he couldn't help transcribing it by himself NOT that he needed some extra money and he was in a rush like always.
The viola one is meant to be a soloist, as mozart thought the rich sound was better with the 2nd viola playing the normal part, and the 1st viola playing the soloist part
@@DanielFahimi You seriously think that this work in itself is greater than Schubert's late symphonies or quartets? Do not make me laugh! Mozart is definitely a superior composer, but this work is not what I would nominate to prove his greatness.
You couldn’t find a way to compliment this piece without hating on another composer? Schubert, a composer more genius than could ever hope to be in 100 life times? Their styles are apples and oranges. Some real morons in the comment section.
When I was a child and sick, I'd lie on the sofa downstairs in the living room. Yellow blanket, tea and mum would put this on. Helped every time.
Wow... one of the best pieces of chamber music I've heard!
I quite agree
Oh man this is good! right up there with the G minor Quintet. Mozart was great in the minor keys! ( I wish he had written more minor pieces.Sigh)
Happy birthday, Amadeus! Doing great for 255 years old!
05:27 maybe Beethoven had this in his mind while composing the first tempo of the 5th symphony... who can say...
Beethoven’s inspiration for the beat of his fifth symphony was the sound of a woodpecker banging its head on a tree
wow i love this piece i remember playing it with a group of friends back when i was 11 it brings back a lot of memories
This music is kind of a miracle.

Indeed, he had a plan. He was a genius.
transcendent
He loves to pull this trick. He does it in basically every one of his minor key sonata form movements and always to great effect.
Isn't that exactly what a sonata form should do?
@@arnekorpen3143 What do you mean?
Io, dopo la esposizione dello stupendo e ricco materiale tematico del secondo tempo, avrei previsto il ritornello!…..: ci manca proprio!!!
17:05 Beethoven's 3rd concerto vibes
I love the last movement of that concerto!
Yes, it's true!!!
Yes
Il y a une telle différence en esprit !!?
Ou est l humour ,dans le quintette de Mozart ?
Mozart serenade for wind octet transcribed for string quintet by the composer

…e come anticipa anche le sonorità mendelshoniane, oltre che beethoveniane!….
Anthony Mondon This is called Nachtmusik for Strings.
4:47 fine ritornello
5:40 lettera D
6:53 tema solo
Lovely 😊
I thought I was going blind after the first mvt.
Anyone know the extra violist?
Wdym?
The viola one is meant to be a soloist, as mozart thought the rich sound was better with the 2nd viola playing the normal part, and the 1st viola playing the soloist part
Ofc the 1st violin has many solo sections, but so does the 1st viola
I meant who is playing the other viola part. It only lists the quartet in the description, but it’s a quintet
Yo ma sup
18:50 Beethoven????
I dont know why but to me that sounds lik Vivaldi's La follia
Entirely different harmony
4:45
6:51
GRETEST PIECE
19:27 mozart piano Concerto 24
21:56
2:25

@@thomasjefferson6599 LOL, this is a really dumb comment. Ignore it.
