In this video, I bring to life the legendary King of the Pirates, Gol D. Roger, from One Piece. I start with a 0.7 2B mechanical pencil for the initial sketch, capturing the strong features and iconic presence of Roger. Next, I use a 0.8 sign pen to trace the sketch and create bold outlines that enhance the character’s intensity. I then switch to a 0.3 sign pen for detailed crosshatching, adding texture and depth to the drawing. To bring out the shadows and stronger contrasts, I use a pen brush, creating large, dark areas that define the mood. For the base tones, I layer a 2B mechanical pencil, applying multiple passes for darker shading to add dimension. Finally, I use a pencil eraser to highlight key areas, giving the piece a dynamic and polished look.
