Yuffie's probably my 4th favorite unit (after Tifa, Cloud, and Aerith), so I'm really torn about pulling for it. Reasons I'm leaning "no" is because 1. I'm low on crystals (~17k), 2. I've got Skysplitter OB10 (+ Cloud's fire outfit), and 3. Want to see what Tifa's outfit brings next week
Lucia's outfit is giving MGS Quiet vibes. Probably gonna skip out. MH drained me, potential Tifa banner coming up, and want to stockpile for anniversary. I use Yuffie as a rotational character, but she isn't in my core 3 and this isn't something like her Earth Arcanum where it fills a niche in my account.
I do like using Yuffie from time to time, but I'm Crystal poor (about 15K currently) and a F2P... currently the chances of me getting the outfit are slim (need about 21K) so I'll skip until the next banner(s) or if they get generous with the crystals again.
Right there with you on passing. I use Yuffie as a support from time to time but that’s it. Plus, I have to save for Vincent and the anniversary. I do like how this game makes it nice that if you’re a vet you don’t need these, but if you’re just hopping on they can be a nice opportunity to catch up (I.e. missed skysplitters event, but here’s Yuffie’s).
I pulled for Yuffie's costume. As a character, I love her utility. The costume is a yikes, but I've been getting a lot out of her as a secondary debuffing fire unit. I'm 2 stamps away with 0 crystals right now, though. Pray for me. Really bad luck on stamps this time around.
For me the Yuffie weapon looks pretty killer, as you mentioned it's a sky splitter for AOE damage. Pair that fire up damage with stuff like kamura wand for attack up and anyone doing an imperil and you're basically getting a lot of damage. Lucia's looks good, but they're not giving us anything to make her actually work as a unit herself. It's unfortunate as I'd actually really find them fun to use when put together but Lucias lacking the arcanums, lacking the elemental damage stuff and definitely lacking strong phys weapons to make use of the r abilities she gets.I have a maxed out mad minute and really waiting for a phys weapon I can use with it that does proper damage. For me Yuffie stands out as the more immediate draw candidate as it's essentially AOE skysplitter and she can get the arcanum but I think I'll hold off for now to see what Tifa gets. I'm building Yuffie so there's potential here still.

Hey Nite, thanks for your insight as per usual! So I gotta get this off my chest... As a HUGE Yuffie fan, I was pretty disappointed upon initially looking at her weapon and costume stats. I was *really* hoping Yuffie was going to get a nice Support/Healer set kind of like how Tifa got one last year... But upon some self reflection, I only have to blame myself as I was hoping too much. After thinking about it and watching your video as well I think the costume and weapon are solid, but my only gripe now is that they decided to continue to give Yuffie more Physical Attack weapons and this event is geared toward Magic Damage! Plus (personally speaking) I would of preferred Magic Damage as that's something I'm missing from my team comps... Well, there is Sephiroth but he's sorta mixed damage right now for me, with only Ice being an element that he excels at. Here's hoping that once Vincent drops, he'll fill that Mage DPS role I need! Anyway, as I've said before, I see Yuffie banner, I pull. Unfortunately my pulls were *awful* 😭30k gems to clear 1 stamp card, with my only 5* coming from guaranteed Moogle Floatie. Suuuucks man. Oh well, I'll have to take the L on this and wait until Vincent Banner😩 Last thing I'll say. It's a good call to wait, as I said in the discord, I predict Tifa will get a Fire Arcanum and a Magic DPS weapon, as that perfectly lines up against the bosses own weakness. The only question is will it be single target or AoE..? My guess is probably single target as they still want Yuffie to be useful to take out the "adds" in the fight but yeah. Think in general if you like Yuffie or want a Physical Fire DPS, this is a solid pick up. Lucia's is also solid imo, since she's more inline as a "support" character outside of Earth where she fills the Magical DPS role.

I really really wish Yuffie had some more utility on back weapons. Many DPS need to do something on the side of more complex fights and they just dont give her enough. (like a buff or debuff) All she really has is Physical attack down and it has to be OB 6 just to reach the level many do at OB1 (since its AOE) IE If im fighting Bahumut Ex 2 where her elemntal debuffs arent working, she needs more utility. Arctic star was a great start to her kit, but its been a minute and she's still lacking a versatile support weapons stash all the launch characters have been growing. She should get the red 13 treatment where she gets some "Catch up" weapons that do a few things in one. A physical electro cannon/Kuja blade clone would do wonders for her IMO for both main and support roles.

oh well.... you might remember i said ima go for both costumes.... well the costumes only have 1 ability..... 5% hp? good? i dont care if i have 11k hp or 11,5k, 15%pdef up sounds good but since i used pdef weapons already to reduce incoming damage and i learned its WAY more effective to either kill the enemy or increase healing. if a enemy needs you to equip pdef to not oneshot you then this situation is HIGHLY niche. if the ability would give hp boost like zack's free summer costume this wouldnt be such a joke. for comparison: 5 pts of boost hp is 50 hp AND 15%hp, this garbage here is 5% hp and 15% pdef (watch your finished builds having 100-120 pdef, with the boost of 15% that is wait.... 102-123 pdef OMEGALUL) costume rating yuffie 6/10 its fireblade arcanum at least, costume rating Lucia 4/10, you might say its good but its not, her weapon is a fire imperil, which is a joke after we got yuffie whos the best fire imperil in the game, sephiroth who already has it and also boasts a fire arcanum and maybe cait i dont remember.. so yeah its as bad as it gets. now debuff extension on someone who can imperil 2 elements but gets outclassed by yuffie on both elements, the only good thing is her matk down and her now new patk aoe down which are not unique whatsoever. costumes look nice, and this is where the praise ends. I believe the weapons are dogshit outside the event. compared to last summer event (lemme remind: sun umbrella 10/10, Tifa's healing glove 8/10) this is just a massive dissapointment. allright time to do some pulls and see how bad its gonna be. btw... i didnt miss the fact the tifa costume who people believed could be a free (lol) costume is coming on part 2. and we already know the weapon and the costume are going to be incredible. square enix just following the trend of shafting everyone whos not called cloud sephiroth tifa or aerith. oh well it is what you get if you dont follow meta trends right ^^ please dont hate me for hating on this banner so much, im just very sad we getting shafted like this.

Look I get it, I'm a bit upset too but I really think you're dunking on the banner a bit too hard, like it's personal 🤣 Again, don't get me wrong I feel you that I think this could of been better... For one, I was REALLY hoping Yuffie was going to get a Healer/Support weapon/costume kind of like Tifa got last year. Instead she gets a Physical Fire DPS role, which isn't as helpful as it would of been if they gave us a Magical DPS instead! My guess is that they are saving that for Tifa in part 2... Anyway, with all that said, the "Suns Favor" bonus is actually very solid. As Nite said, we're always gonna need defensive stats in endgame content and I'd *MUCH* rather have that than PATK at this stage in the game... Like, if you're a brand new player a +10 PATK would be nice but to just about everyone else, it's literally a dump stat since we always have it capped out. So yeah, I think you're being a bit to harsh on it considering it could of been worse. That said, I do think if you have a Fire Physical DPS already, this banner is pretty easy skip, won't argue with that notion there.

The only way they will get me to pull is if tifa is magic fire. Shiva EX is impossible with physical.
