A lot of people have been asking about trail names, and peaks names and why I have not been mentioning them in videos lately. I have addressed this in some previous videos but I will copy and paste from another comment. I hope you all understand.
"I have been purposefully leaving the names of the peaks and trails I have been taking out of the videos lately. I didn't / don't want my videos to possibly contribute to the overcrowding and literal trashing of the trails thats been occurring lately.
With everyone trying to escape outside since covid it appears nobody did research on the basic principals of hiking / backpacking or the principals of Leave No Trace. If they did then they just don't seem to care. The amount of toilet paper, feces, and trash I have seen literally on or next to the trail in the last couple weeks is absolutely mind boggling.
I am hoping to the add the names to the trails and peaks back in eventually hopefully once things kind of settle down up there a bit. I know a lot of people use the videos to plan their adventures. I did the same when I started hiking up in the Whites. Its part of the reason I started this channel.
With that said, I have a video up in some way shape or form for I believe every 48 4k and 52 wav peak. Some maybe in my AT series, and also my Pemi Loop series"
Here is an article about the issue www.nhpr.org/post/trouble-trails-forest-service-grapples-crowds-trash-and-human-waste#stream/0

Way to go, Chris. Your videos, as they are, are enough to get me up there, hopefully making as small a physical impact as you do. Gorgeous cinematography and music. Thank you! 👍🏼

The woods here in Kentucky are getting trashed as well. I always bring a small plastic grocery bag to collect trash any time I go in the woods and I can confirm that this year the trash has almost doubled here. Another great video. Thank you for the content.

I gave up and got a canister and lug the heavy thing around when I know there's not going to be an official site with a bear box. Prema (my daughter) tells me to go back to the bag, but I don't know...

Talked to this lady ontop of bootspur for a half hour after a mt. isolation summit Saturday and she had done the 46ers she couldn't say enough good things about it and said you can backcountry camp basically anywhere in the mountains and there's a bunch of loops and traverses you can knock down 5+ peaks in a day or overnight. Such a beautiful spot. For the sheer amount of people I saw walking up there on my way down I was surprised how little random trash I saw. There definitely was some but not remotely as bad as I thought it was going to be

@@ChrisGoesOutdoors I was shocked on a recent weekender to Isolation when I saw trash and feces way out there.....not exactly a tourist hike but was surprisingly crowded and we took the not so popular route without a boulder....lol
