recommend getting some knee braces ASAP...speaking from experience (torn ACL and MCL as well as wrecked cartilage) when I say it's worth the money and saves ya a lot of pain and physio, You do get use to them very quickly and are a must for dirt bike riding regardless of motocross, supercross or enduro..... Thanks kyle huge fan love all your vids this one included looking forward to 150sx keep up the good work man
nitemunky76 these boots are the exact same as the MX boot with a different sole for better traction so theses and the Astars tech 7enduros (different sole as well) offer the same protection as the MX boots.
Good for you... but there is no difference between a Tech 7 Enduro and a Tech 7 besides the sole, same with the Instinct but they may have also beefed up the toe box for the offroad version.
Bad luck with Fox here. REALLY bad luck with Alpinestars, but Gearne have served me well. Why were you walking funny at the beginning LOL? Keep up the videos... they are well made.
I tried on a pair of the Instinct off road boots and found them to feel the same as my cheapo comp 5 off road boots I've been wearing for the last few years. Very unimpressed by Fox's attempt and the price is ludicrously tall. I opted for the Alpinestars Tech 7 Enduro boots instead. $200 cheaper as well. I will admit the Fox boots look really cool but between the price and the fitment they were a no go for me.
Jacob Dacus I respect that! I personally love my instinct boots, I've had them for one full season and they've held up pretty good, way better then my old comp 5s. I just sent mine out to fox to get resoled as they do tent to wear out quick, they look a little beat up but fit perfectly and nice. I'll definitely be buying another set come the time!
Updating boots from Fox Comp 5. Wanting a slimmer boot to get under gear lever easier. Tried on heaps last few days and have a wide foot and will use for enduro only. Felt the Tech 10 felt too heavy, Tech 7 didnt feel much improvement from Comp 5, the two I liked were Fox Instinct (most comfy) and Sidi crossfire 2. Issue is when i bend knees both boots above first lower buckle and below second buckle seemed to dig into my lower front ankle. The leather seems to bend inwards into the skin making them uncomfy. Will try on sg12's and also the tcx. Really wanted the Sidi though so disappointed. Do other guys get this issue?
Helpful review of the FOX gear, I got a catalogue from a local dealer and I'm looking at getting jersey and pants plus maybe chest guards as well, is the body protection worth it?
compared to the gaerne sg10, how is the width of the boot? you said those were your previous boot so I'm interested in your comparison since that's what I have right now. so far, gaerne is the only boot that I could find wide enough for my feet
These are not much wider than the SG10s, but the soles are much thicker so you feel higher on the bike. Your feet also have more traction on the pegs. It takes some getting used to at first. Overall, I really like these boots. Much easier to walk in.
Fox makes good jerseys, pants and gloves, their boots suck, and they're the same price or more expensive than Sidi's which are awesome I just got another pair of sidi crossfire 2 srs for under $350
hey great channel I have a question my calves or large I have a hard time finding boots that will go around them will this boot work for me, if not what brand would you recommend
I also struggle with the width in mx boots. I'm currently in a alpine star tech 7 and couldn't be more happy. I would suggest these boots as they have worked for me
Mate I enjoy your channel and your videos but the constant promotion and plugs you put in whether it be patreon or whatever is getting really annoying. Appreciate your trying to generate some income but be careful you don't lose subscribers over it as it is annoying.
600 bucks on boots lol i think ppl are giving u too much money kyle haha just jokes. Seriously thou those would be like 750 dollar boots for me in canadian ...crazy, some stuff is soooo overpriced.
my thor boots were like a little over 300 bucks and thats about as much as i can spend on boots cause they just get trashed with all the mud i go thru, they looked like a year old after my first 2 rides with them lol, if they were like 600 bucks id just be like FML.
Totally satisfied with Sidi Crossfire 2

really like the Fox stuff and how they match their helmets with the rest, got the 360 creo helmet, jersey and pants, fit great!
Hey guys loving the work, hope you guys continue to grow!
sidi crossfire 2/3's SRS are the best I have ever worn. Will never ride on another boot!
Love fox gear!
Also I don't have a job yet but I will in 2 years, will probably become a patron then!
Worth noting that off road boots that are easier to walk in will be making a trade off with protection. High-end MX boots are stiff for a reason.
Yes, these are very easy to walk in. Good traction for walking around.

i defiantly disagree with this

i was disagreeing with the other guys comment not yours mate

Nice, but Gaerne SG12 and SIDI are still better boots.
grats on 50 k

Jacob Dacus comp 5's are garbage... I don't know what you're smoking.

chest guards / roost protectors are 110% worth every cent , they have saved me from getting seriously injured many times
Hey guys just wondering did you install the stand on your Yamaha and if so you should do a video on that, much appreciated ❤️
Oh okay, thanks heaps.
The kickstand came stock on the YZ250X.

Get some Gaerne GX-1 boots.
Better get SG12.GX-1 are quite good, but they are still mid-range boots.
Fox makes good jerseys, pants and gloves, their boots suck, and they're the same price or more expensive than Sidi's which are awesome
I just got another pair of sidi crossfire 2 srs for under $350
I'm liking these boots for what it's worth.
hey great channel I have a question my calves or large I have a hard time finding boots that will go around them will this boot work for me, if not what brand would you recommend
Smoker Ace go into the store and see what fits ... duh ?
Yeah, I'd suggest you go try some of them on to be sure.
Smoker Ace gaerne

I also struggle with the width in mx boots. I'm currently in a alpine star tech 7 and couldn't be more happy. I would suggest these boots as they have worked for me
But can you do sweet jumps in them? Lol

Max Gibson go on Rocky Mountain atv mc and they got tons of gear. You can pick out a kit easily.
i don't like fox my self i use alpinestar boots and Metal militia gear and a fly racing helmet
