*"If you're, mentally fit, hungry to learn and be better, i urge you to travel - as far and as widely as possible. Sleep on floors if you have to. Find out how other people live and eat and cook. Learn from them - wherever you go"* 🥂🙂💞
Moved away from Adelaide some years ago (we found Canberra more family friendly). Adelaide is a beautiful place (and will always be home), and is probably one of the more affordable cities to live. It has wonderful beaches, and a beach culture I think the Eastern Seaboard doesn't quite understand (Adelaide's metro beaches are placid so you see youngsters throwing a ball and diving for catches rather than a surfing or body boarding). It is a little backward (you point out Sunday it's a ghost town - part of that is because you're in Franklin St, which isn't very busy at the best of times (If you turned left at King William St toward Grenfell St and Rundle Mall you might have found things a bit busier), and part of that is because Adelaide's Sunday trading is only 11AM - 5PM in the city (and I think much of suburbia). One of the nicest things about Adelaide is that everything is accessible - because it doesn't have massive traffic (yet) everything is very accessible and there's less than an hour between the beach and the foothills (even with their 60km streets) - or you have wineries and small towns in almost every direction (except out to sea, obviously). I'm sure you and your family will love Adelaide!

Nice vlog, one piece of advice wherever you live out of Sydney and Melbourne, never compare with them. In Australia, every city has a pros and cons. I used to live in Sydney and moved to Darwin back in 2012 and I was keep comparing with Sydney and then decided to go back but when I moved on I love Darwin and stayed here.
Agreed! Answer lies within your own comment. It takes little bit more time to get accustomed to a new city but that was our natural first impression lol 🤣
Best place in Australia, just don't tell anyone!! 30minutes gets you anywhere, hills, beach. We moved out of the suburbs 10 years ago, so much better in the rural areas, quiet and relaxing.
Adelaide resident for nearly 5 years. Yeah Adelaide is one of the best places in AU, to raise a family. Lovely parklands. Slower pace of life. Good schools. Great beaches and food.
Should I come to study masters in Social Work or Criminology/alternative dispute resolution there? What's the scope of PR after studying in these fields? I am a law graduate.
Be very careful when choosing Adelaide as your new home, particularly if you originate from the sub continent. This city has had more than its share of migrants from the UK and they have brought their baggage with them! They do not like Indians or Pakistanis as they estimate that their country has been overun with them. You will face "differences" as to where you live, your children's education and work. Work is the biggest headache in your life, as most Australians are heavily in debt and have to work. Good luck with your stay, but keep your eyes and ears open!
It's better the British people come and occupy Australia for better opportunities than you Indians messing it up with cheap labour and low incomes just like you've been doing in the Middle East.
In the event you have decided to make Australia 🇦🇺 your home - it is important that efforts are also made to assimilate into their society - communication will be of paramount importance - to show the ability to fluently speak English - because people will show you respect - as they won’t be struggling to understand every second word spoken / Just my thoughts - good luck to your family 😊
Great work. Welcome to Adelaide. I have called Adelaide my home from last 13 years. Good to see more immigrants coming to Adelaide. If you need any help or any more information or anything please let me know. Will like to help. Thanks

It’s absolutely true. If you like that you’ll love Adelaide. Personally I find it extremely boring compared to other places I’ve lived. But of course there are good things too.
