I want to give this a try but I am scared my computer won't be able to handle it. Great review by the way, really interesting to learn about all these old film terms!
So many great images you've captured. What a cool pup, and the film grain does look more organic than the built in one I've used on FCPX. Looks like a fun plugin to play with.
What a wonderful video here, watching films is absolutely amazing and I always enjoyed so! The colors is just great and it makes the film so much more alive! Glad that you shared this with us!❤
Well explained on key functions and settings, and loving the examples. I like the clean look myself but looks like a great tool for fans of the film look.
So film grain is texture, whereas digital noise is cased by digital artifacting. Grain is desirable and used to add depth or mood whereas compared to noise which people want to minimize as much as possible.

That opening footage was sick. Awesome review bro
Much appreciated!
The footage looks good but that price is ridiculous!!
It is pricey but there is a Lite bundle and you can purchase some of the tools separately :)

Great to hear!
Love it. Random question, what's the difference between film grain and noise?

The grain looks really good, much better than the DVR effect.
Definitely agree. I've never been able to get the in built grain effect in DVR to look exactly how I want.
Had my eye on this for a while. Thanks for your review Aaron. I only have a7iii, do you think you can use this with 8bit files?
Yeah totally fine from what I can see, you just have less room to play around with when colour grading it.
@@RudyVisuals Thanks!
Looks insanely cool but wish it was cheaper for a full license.

Great tutorial and review Aaron 👏
Thank you :)
Could this be used on iphone video?
Yeah absolutely. You'll just have less room to play around with the lesser the quality of the footage you are using.
love the vivid 500!
