I have realised over the past few years, that we have a lot of rules here, a lot of red tape, but the results can be seen in this vid. I would rather live with rules, be mostly saved from COVID or death due to fallen off your motorbike or such when made to wear helmets or not falling off rooves when made to install safety barriers even around domestic situations when roof repairs are happening or not being gunned down when walking down the street. Really really appreciate living in beautiful Brisbane, Australia
Both were former penal (convict) established settlements, Sydney dates from 1788 and Brisbane from 1823. Lane Cove Road and Logan Road were both built with convict labour and both eventually linked up and became the main highway connecting the two cities. Unlike Sydney, Brisbane is a river city built on shale soil in a subtropical environment. It's just a pity that the Queensland state parliament no longer has an upper house so it is no longer bicameral, and this has been the case since 1922.
44:10 fun fact, those shade sails over Felix street are there because of a design flaw in one of the sky rises. The windows have a habit of falling out, to crash on the street below...
The glass usually came down as fragments rather than whole panes but they lost about 200 windows over about 20 years before the problem was, cross fingers, fixed around 10 years ago.
