28 years ago, I went into a guitar shop with a budget that made a Martin or a Taylor both options. I tried several models of both Martin and Taylor, and on careful consideration of feel and overall warmth and brightness and throw, and just general greatness… I bought a Larrivee D09, serial number 26, and have never once regretted my decision.
I play Larrivee exclusively - great guitars. Did you try a mahogany? I've yet to try their rosewood (OMs). OMs are typically what I got for - the 12 fret models are also pretty special. Your guitar sounds GREAT.
No, where I live they are hard to come by. This is in fact the first one I played. But the guy I bought it from played loads of them and he spoke highly of the mahogany ones, even though he's typically not a fan of mahogany bodies
Very possible my next guitar
I have a D2 right now that is phenomenal
Love the guitars
