  • Idea Tango - Argentine tango technique
The dissociation is one of main tools of the Argentine tango technique!
We need it to walk on our partner’s side, to pivot, to lead and follow ochos, turns, boleos, ganchos, to execute calesitas, enrosques, agujas, and much more. However, the dissociation is also one of the most difficult body coordination to execute correctly.
    The muscle memory massively helps!
In this video I share my most popular exercises for a speedy conditioning of the body to the different types of dissociation and timings.
If executed regularly you will boost your muscle memory so that, whilst dancing, a correct dissociation will be fully automated in your body and you will be finally able to focus on different aspects.
The connection with your partner will dramatically improve, you will fully enjoy the tango embrace and unleash your feelings, musicality and creativity.

Very good exercises! However it would help to see you also from behind. For beginners it's difficult to change everything in their heads.

Just a comment from an English teacher: "improve the success of sth." sounds rather strange. Much better would be: Improve your tango dissociation.

Hi Jochen, thank you very much for your suggestion. When I came up with this title what I meant was "increase the probability that the outcome of your dissociation (e.g. a sacada, a pivot, a turn, etc.) is a success". Squeezing this in few words was not that easy for a not native speaker 😋
