- Prepare yourself for a long day. This was my first Battle of the Goats. It definitely put the hard in hard enduro.
Despite the dehydration, muscle fatigue, and misery I was in, this is everything you could wish for in a hard enduro. I enjoyed it!

WOW / I raced hare scrambles in the 90's and thought it was rough. Looks like I was just doing a walk in the park. I think I might go back and do a few hare scrambles and enjoy the race. Thanks for the video. It showed me that I want no part of a hard enduro.

@@AustinMHolmes I am assuming it isnt a kx 2t....should be a fun ride to learn on and get the fundamentals going, short of a trials bike. Check put Ryan Youngs dvd's at ryp or some instructional video, how to ride trials. Better yet take one of the classes . It is not cheap, but will save you years of learning in the long run.

@@AustinMHolmes Dont be ashamed to get a 125 lol, its more fun to ride a small bike fast then get a 450 and ride it slow.

Most don’t understand how muchyou question your sanity on those hills. And that having fun yet question is simple.
I wouldn't even walk that track let alone ride it haha. Youre riding is awesome Zach. Don't put yourself down. How you get traction in some of those places is insane. You got that Jarvis clutch control!
The guy who caught your bike @26:37 on shoots and ladders is Micheal Eller, he helped establish those lines for the race. Dude is a goat machine.
The teamwork you guys did was fantastic. You guys did great working together. A race like that in warm conditions they really should have a water station setup for those that need it.

The race was brutal. I was running the Michelin Enduro tire Tubliss at 4-5 psi. It was hooking up amazing. What wasn’t amazing was my physical stamina. Bike wanted to keep going and my body didn’t. Time to get in better shape for next years! Great footage.
P.S. Glad I wasn’t the only one getting stuck on those tiny off camber roots 😂

That was an awesome ride. I just watched it all. After 50 plus GNCC's behind me, this is a typical day! I'll be riding at the croom Enduro...will you? With the hurricane there will be thousands of down trees!
Hey man! That was me on the GasGas there at the checkpoint at the end of the video. You put in an awesome ride to make it that far on the pro course. Very few people made it that far, and I saw virtually no one from there to the end of the lap. Killer ride, and love the videos! Hit us up if you come back down to Brushy sometime.

Out of all the races I’ve watched you do this one looked the most un fun race I’ve ever seen. But huge props to you for running this race
22:55-24:00 - THIS. It's exactly the same thoughts that go through my head too! There is nothing worse than getting 30 minutes into a 5-6 hour race and finding yourself burned up, BUT, you did an excellent job getting yourself together and pushing on, and looking pretty good while doing it. Nice track, great riding, and the commentary is the cherry on top.

Zach, youre too hard on yourself. Youre a good rider. When you get upset, you push too hard. Makes for a bad day. The track/trails will always win when youre forcing. Calm cool calculating decision making. A lot of cardio and rip its freaking head off. Always remember, youre making yourself a better rider with the hard enduro. Anybody can ride fast. When you can do fast and technical...that's when you know youre a well rounded rider. Even with MX.

Very entertaining watch a good rider like you.When i watch Jarvis climbing extreme steep rocky steps he rev his engine close to idle many time in second gear.Most he make steep hills in many small pivot turns getting to the topp.

I've only run an Ibex with TuBliss, great setup. I haven't tried an Ibex in the rear with a Mousse(only have a front mousse currently). My 450 has a IRC ve33s currently(with TuBliss), it's wearing quick but love the grip, this fall I'll spoon on a rear Mousse and compare vs the TuBliss. No matter what I run, wet roots and rocks make me slip and fall.
