Wow I love the waaagh change!!! Also kudos to GW making me actually interested in chaos knights when I'm like the most biased player toward hyper elite playstyles.
so with the buff on the combat knife for reivers and phobos isn't there a funny combo with deepstriking them. reivers have deepstrike with their grave chute and phobos lieutenant have it innate. the phobos lieutenant's ability strategic dispersal is a shoot and move d6 inches but doesn't say that you can't charge afterwards unlike most other shoot and scoots in the game. so couldn't you deepstrike them 9 inches away and shoot the pistols into any enemy within range (24 inches with the lieutenant's carbine) and move d6 inches closer to the target you want to charge and then in the charge phase make your charge giving you basically a 3d6 charge or almost a 74% to roll a 9+. with 40 attacks for a 10 man unit at ws 3+ str4 ap-1 damage1 precision and 5 attacks ws2+ str4 ap-1 damage1 sustained hits 1 and everybody having lethal hits that could do some damage especially now with the buff for oath of moment giving reroll hits and +1 to wound using non divergent chapters all for the price of 215 points. or with blood angels liberator group with 50 ws3+ str6 ap-1 damage1 precision and 6 attacks ws2+ str6 ap-1 damage1 sustained hits 1 and everybody having lethal hits. could spend 1cp for lance. also opponent needs to make a battleshock test at -1 when you get into melee and their oc is reduced by 1. could be a fun deepstrike blender against most infantry units expect maybe the toughest ones like custodes both black templars and space wolfs could at sustained hits and +1 ap in their own respective detachment righteous crusaders or champions of russ at the cost of 1 cp but lose the +1 to wound from oath of moment for being a divergent chapter and in champions of russ the lieutenant could have the pelt of the balewolf so the enemy unit must make another battleshock test in addition to the one the reivers give out both at -1.
Pretty sure RAW, chapters like black templars / dark angels / space wolves will still get +1 to wound as long as they don't take specific chapter units, which at that point its basically a vanilla chapter anyway, you're just using a specific detachment / strats to benefit your army. Codex's / index state, if you are adeptus astartes you can select this detachment, you "CAN" select specific chapter units blah blah blah , it doesn't say you must, the new oath states "IF" your army does not include one of the following units you get +1 to wound Nowhere does it say that non specific marines units get that chapters keyword, it might not be RAI, but RAW you can use the chapters stated above own detachments and get +1 to wound as long as the conditions are met.
with how the marine thing was worded, you can use a BA detachment and get the +1 to wound as long as you dont use any of the blood angel specific units
People been telling me that my 'Liberator Phobos Group' blood angels lists are stupid but I've been slapping people with constant in your face board control and movement shenanigans. Now most of my list basically got 25% damage boost with all the AP bonuses. My 6 man outriders + Biker Chaplain are nuts.
I don't know man, a 50% increase in damage on a sweep attack for the Lion doesn't seem like a slight improvement to me LOL! Even with his hefty points boost, I like my Lion being lethal so it's a step in the right direction. Now if only we could find some batteries for that shield of his; I'd love to see him get his -1 to wound back next. 🦁
that -1 AP on combat and paired knives is HUGE. Might be the first time Reivers will be usable. And with the 3" deep strike nerf I think it's time for the 10-man Reiver brick with a Phobos LT to finally shine. And the change to Kayvaan is pretty big, too. Raven Guard getting some love today, very excited to take it for a spin. I was starting to lose hope tbh. I still think the Vanguard Phobos stratagems are... pretty bad. Only the reactive retreat when charged is worth it. The phobos keyword units I wanna use do not want to retreat. Infiltrators stay on their objective, Reivers charge in, only Eliminators run away and they're not really worth it. Even the jump intercessors with Kayvaan (who gain the Phobos keyword thanks to Kayvaan) can't really use it. So, maybe a different detachment would be better. I'm considering Gladius or Stormlance right now but I havent decided yet. Hilarious that the Reiver's battleshock aura was changed but the Reiver LT didn't have it's rules text altered to reflect that lol.
I feel like you are way over estimating the number of sixes any of us were rolling. And it's not like six was only for damage considering 3T base 3+ 6++. Kind of needed it for the saves more than anything when someone decided to hit control alt delete. This MD nerf and the nerf to the Triumph was not warranted at all. We should have gotten one or the other, not both. This is so stupid.
I'm absolutely not - most well-constructed Sisters lists were camping 4-5 6s in the miracle pool by BR3 (unless they had used them to kill you by then) In fairness, I think the nerfs to the faction hit too hard; but I don't think the Miracle changes were unwarranted
@@TacticalTortoisewhy? Sisters were already at 50% after the last nerfs. SM got some nice buffs and with them being half the armies everyone else was going to go down slightly.
Yeah. GW has decided that what Sisters players would really like for Gotmas is to have a massive steaming dump taken all over them. Its the most absurd trashing of an Army I've seen so far in 10th edition and speaks to a complete lack of understanding about how the army works and the role MD play in it. All of this on a faction who are in the most balanced place they've been sitting at a solid 50% win rate after the last series of point balancing.
It doesn't seem like units in Cult Ambush can use their deep strike to get out. It specifically says "using strategic reserve rules", so i guess the intention here is you either "rapid ingress" on the marker, OR come up within 6 off the board edge on your turn. No deep strike option here
I guess it's a semantic question whether the core rule that "units in Strategic Reserve can use Deep Strike" is a "Strategic Reserve rule" I'd be shocked if it ended up that that was not the intention
Ill be running one of the following lists for awhile. Which one would u pick? 2 valiant 7 warglaive 2 castellan 7 warglaive 1 valiant 1 castellan 7 warglaive
I have a quick question for the turtle master. With regards to overwatch. Use to be you could use it at the end of the charge move (unit is now within line of sight). With it now having to be used when the charge is declared, If the charging unit is out of line of sight, then it can no longer be overwatched ?
With the update it can ONLY be used against charging units when they declare the charge. If they aren't an eligible target at that time you cannot overwatch them.
Idk if chaos marine should be happy to not have received an unnecessary big nerf (only a small one) or be sad to have not received any real buffs whatsoever
He literally says that you can't use big guns never tire to shoot AS the vehicle or monster player, but nothing stops you shooting AT the vehicle or monster in combat with overwatch if you're the opposing player.
@@TyranidFerore sounded like he meant shooting with the vehicle and his stipulation was you couldnt shoot out of combat with the vehicle on overwatch if it was already engaged
If a vehicle/monster charged Unit A (infantry or vehicle doesn't matter) Unit B (Again infantry or vehicle) that is nearby but not in engagement range of anything could shoot the vehicle or monster since that is allowed. But now Unit A and B cannot shoot the vehicle or monster if they could not shoot it before it moved.
Also, I don't think this was mentioned before but in the Warhammer 40K APP, Ursula Creed's -1CP ability was changed to once per turn from once per battle round. Which is pretty good even if locked to regiment units.
All thr changes to necrons and grey knights grand master cp -1 ability is still once per battle -_- literally a bunch of tanks and vehicles in yhe game that cost 130. My 5 guys basic unit 120 😑
