      no I use a Jam Hub system it is really inexpensive been using it a while you can get 5 separate mixes...i use it for vocals, drums, 2 keyboards and bass...had it a few years now its a real good option for small churches with a 2 to 4 piece band

      If these are passive (no pre-amp) why would one sound "louder"? -- unless the Behringer circuitry is causing some sound reduction.
      A straight-through signal should be the same volume.
      Perhaps you can describe your set-up and give a comparison of volume loss or gain when you bypass the Unit?

      Hi can this be plugged into through an output socket on a snake box or does it go straight to the main desk? Thank you

    0:31 - "This is the Behringer P1" (Literally says "PM1" when he turns it over).
    This is so people don't get it confused with the actual P1 and wondering why they need 9volt batteries.
    In case anyone is curious, Behringer has 4 options currently for in ear monitoring;
    P1 - Stereo (or mono) belt-pack wired monitor (which can also be thread mounted to a mic stand). Requires 9 volt batteries.
    P2 - Mono belt-pack wired monitor. Requires AAA batteries.
    PM1 - Mono belt pack monitor. Designed to work with amplified signals, but can still work straight out the mixer in low noise environments.
    P16 - ULTRANET mixer/monitor. Used in conjunction with any compatible ULTRANET device (Such as; X Air Mixers, X32 mixers, M32 mixers, Wing Mixers)

    Do you think that this is a good set up if I'm playing out at different places, with different sound guys, with different equipment/ set ups? Because all this little pack is doing is taking place of the ol skool floor wedge right?

    • @Johnmike
      @Johnmike  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yup...that’s one of the reasons I got it as a portable setup so I can take my sound with me

    • @randywall8101
      @randywall8101 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      100% I have the Behringer P2 (allows xlr or 1/4") while the design is a little cheap and delicate, it enables me to not use a floor monitor anywhere that I play. Space saving and also prevents me blasting guests who may be seated near stage at corporate music events. I'm curious if Elite is any better or worse at the cheaper price point. I love being able to eliminate my wedge on stage. Also means less gear for me to carry.

    Can you use a wireless mic system to make these wireles? Like a kevler adt 2.0?

    • @craigpacker2693
      @craigpacker2693 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you use a Wireless IEM system you would already have a belt pack with a headphone output and a volume controller which means these units would not be required.

    I bought one of it and used it recently. The volume is too soft and even my wedge sounded way louder. I did turned up the volume knob for both mixer board and pm01 to max, however it's still very soft. My IEM is Shure 215. Any advice?

      Use a headphone amp like the HA6000 or HA8000 (if multiple band members) then send it from there to the PM1. Or you can get the P2, but that requires batteries. For a battery free system I would use a HA6000 along with multiple PM1s 👍

    • @theotandiara5869
      @theotandiara5869 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If i useIf I use the HA400, can I get the maximum sound?

    • @craigpacker2693
      @craigpacker2693 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@theotandiara5869 Typically, to get more volume you either need a pre-amp with a powered headphone output and/or a lower-impedance headphone set.
      This unit does not boost your signal, just makes your setup more convenient. These units are not amplifiers.

    can you connect xlr out from bass combo to xlr in PM1 and then mini jack from line out to line in laptop sound card? Will it be too loud for a laptop and not a mixer?

    Im using the behringer pm1, why am I only hear in the left channel of my headphones?

    • @tonyburt5
      @tonyburt5 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because these devices are unamplified stereo devices and are designed to be run from a headphone amplifier. This is how I use it with TRS to XLR cables out of the headphone amp. It uses a standard XLR as a stereo connection (not to spec). The headphone amp stays in my rack. They are not meant to plug in a normal balanced output from your mixer but I do know many people that do it and just crank the volume on their output. To do it, you either need to use a custom stereo cable to get left and right from 2 outputs on your mixer, or use a mono adapter in the headphone jack to get the same mono signal to both ears.

    I dont like these because they aren't powered. The PM2 is powered but sites were selling them for over $100 bucks and I said forget it. I bought the mackie mix8 to send out to multiple people and a voice recorder instead.

      If you have an x32 desk or another digital desk you can mix the tracks on your phone and these devices work perfectly with just an overall volume control.
