Oh I agree. I HATE the colors in that townhouse. Every room is the same color walls and carpet. Its much too "neutral." It doesn't have a warm homey feel. I think some wallpaper in the bathrooms and different colors on the walls will do the place a world of good!

When you say "how you guys live in the States" are you referring to us collectively? Or just the Donnellys? Because let me assure you that the great majority of us here in the States do NOT live like that. Only people with money do. The majority of American families are lucky to have ONE home (which is usually mortgaged for 30 years and is NOT lakefront property which is VERY expensive) and if lucky, take ONE vacation every year. And only perhaps half or less of THEM can afford to fly on an airplane to their vacation. Things are tough right now in the States for about 70% of families.

@@ThomasJM Its a townhouse. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if some karen wife of the association president hates animals and won't allow it. And it depends on the cat and HOW the cat travels. My oldest (prior to her death) used to LOVE to ride in the car. She would literally sit in the passengers seat, put her paw on he armrest and look out the window like a person! Conversely, my 2 youngest were scared to death to leave the house (probably because they were abandoned outside at like 3 weeks old). My boy cat would ride in the car, but was quite oblivious to it.
I wouldn't blame everything on a Karen in an HOA. Plus depending on how they travel their and how often they do they may not want to take the cats with them.

And generally the wives of the HOA presidents generally don't have the best of taste when it comes to decorating and choosing colors and the like. This is why I prefer my own little freestanding house. I can do what I like and in my own personal taste which I assure you is NOT Ikea! LOL I wouldn't have subjected my cats to an airplane, although I think my oldest would have done fine in a carrier at my feet. But as I said, it all depends on the cat and their personality.
Better get sleeper sofas and some cots and extra bedding and towels cuz when you live in Florida you'll have family and friends from all over visit you especially during the winter months. I know this from experience. Just sayin. :)

What happen to recording on the DSLR w/ the mic? Seems that idea was abandoned. The sound from the mic is not good w/ those phones. Glad they can afford a vacation house, because they can right.

It was my birthday and I got to spend the day with hubby and our daughter. We spent the night at Grand Floridian and went swimming and hot tub.
