After what happened to Puerto Rico, I really hope the heaviest winds miss the islands. The forests are rare and beautiful, and they take a long time to recover. There will also be a threat of tornadoes on the northeastern side of the system.
I imagine the vog will be dissipated. That's a good thing. But, since you mentioned the fissure, I wonder how all of the heavy rain will affect the flow from that fissure?
This looks like it could be worse than Maria was for PR because of those huge mountain peaks. All that torrential rain is going to be aided by those mountains, plus the storm surge is going to be destructive. Two feet of rain doesnt include the complications of flooding and storm surge. You all really need to be safe and follow all evacuation protocols.

I worked for those guys for awhile. hee hee.....I also had my ass handed to me from a golden gloves boxer on the second floor of the Out Rigger East...if that's even there still...lol...Church's Chicken was right below our room. OMG!!! I was only 21 and venturing The Red Light District was my first time seeing a chick with tits. That was my first time seeing a dude with boobs. My mom didn't believe me when I told her what I was seeing there...lol...she thought I was being funny...lol...I can only imagine what is considered normal NOW...lol...
