He is absolutely not, he clearly said he wasn't good enough for the A team, and that he made mistakes when he was on the US stint! I don't follow football, so I can't say how good a player he is, but he is acknowledging his mistakes and shortcomings.
He realized his mistake too late (US contract). But, a wise man admits his mistakes boldly. Good lessons for the young generation ..
