Maxophone - Live in Tokyo [full album]

La magia dei brani dello storico album dei Maxophone del 1975 rivive oggi nel live interamente registrato nell'aprile 2013 al Club Città di Tokyo, in occasione dell'Italian Progressive Rock Festival.
Il concerto giapponese è stato l'occasione per presentare due brani inediti: "L'isola", il primo pezzo scritto dalla band nel 1972 e mai registrato, e "Guardian Angel", un piccolo assaggio del nuovo progetto discografico su cui i Maxophone stanno lavorando.
La formazione dei Maxophone è composta da due storici componenti della band Alberto Ravasini (chitarra acustica, tastiere e voce) e Sergio Lattuada (tastiere e voce) e da tre nuovi musicisti Marco Croci (basso e voce), Carlo Monti (batteria, percussioni, violino) e Marco Tomasini (chitarra elettrica, voce).
Live in Tokyo è l'album che permetterà a tutti gli amanti della musica progressive di riassaporare le sonorità tipiche degli anni '70 della band milanese.

Maxophone might seriously be the most underrated band in the world.
Kestrel are another great prog band, albeit not as masterfully symphonic as this, but there songs are amazing.

Maxophone and Aqua Fragile are my 2 favorite progressive rock bands from Italy. I really wish Maxophone had produced more after their wonderful first (and only) LP. I've listened to their LP since 1975 and listen to it quite frequently and have never gotten tired of it, it's probably one of my top 10 ever. I will buy this Live album for sure.

さすがにじじぃなちゃったから裏声近い高音は出せないが、まぁそこそこがんばってる！まくそ！ふぉーねがニホンに来た事じたい大事件！いやいやフルート！管楽器ないと...×厚みない。知らん曲はえーごだしっ当時のその後のソノシートまで英語にすんな！日本人はえーごわかんねぇんだよ！全体的には雰囲気あってよろし。やっぱ奥行きがないのでちぇはえんじゅやもんどの途中でやめるはさ。
