I have tics too... about 5 facial ones and people in my class ask me “Why do you stretch you jaw like that? Are you rolling your my eyes at me?” I’m tired of it, I don’t have Tourette Syndrome though...

Same with me. I mess around with my fingers, blink aggressively kick my legs stretch my arms out and up, but I have motor tics so it’s all about my muscles. Some of my friends make fun of it but it’s really hard to deal with.

same.. my body is not forced to do it, but it feels like i need to do them. its really hard not to, i have a lot, it’s just like in the video, i can hold it in, but I think about to tic i want to do, which doesn’t make it easier. i don’t think i’ve ever been diagnosed, but like c’mon, it’s pretty obvious because they’re there and i can’t stop. some of my classmates make fun of one of my tics, it doesn’t bother me at all tbh, i just want to stop and i don’t know how…

Bad behaviour?! Tics are not bad behaviour, behaviour is something you can control. The wording that news reporters use is just plain dumb!

As someone with Tourette’s Syndrome, myself, I can assure you that they’d be more scared than you would be. Being the only person ticcing in a classroom, feeling embarrassed/ashamed to have a disability. Feeling everybody staring at them, judging them, sometimes even laughing at them. You feel like a freak.
If you don’t have tics but there’s one person in your class who does, then you have nothing to be afraid of. You’d be the lucky one.
