It is quite a shame, that most People don't know how to make a "Terrine" with Gelatine anymore. As shown here, it all depends on the flavour of the Broth! You can make it with ANY Meat, even Fish! It is a wonderful Delicacy for Summer evenings!
I use dental floss to cut my cakes in half horizontally,,,,just wrap it around half way up the cake , cross the ends over and pull until you cut through,,,,,remove floss and it's that easy...no fumbling with a knife wondering if the 2 pieces will be even...

What does “fan” mean, i.e. 140 fan? Is it equal to 140 celcius? I live in Denmark and do not have a British oven.
This means setting the oven to 140°C on the fan (convection) setting. For conventional ovens, the temperature is usually higher, around 160°C.
