    Correction to the video. That’s actually one of Ultimarc’s joysticks (it’s similar to the Sanwa JLW-TM-8 ). It’s a great stick but NOT a sanwa. Sorry about that guys, I rushed to make this before leaving on vacation.

      Retro Ralph ... you made me almost think the sanwa sticks that I got were fakes!! Pheeew! Lol😂

      I have a set of Sanwa joysticks and can say without a doubt that it's a lot better than the stock/ultimarc ones they supply with the cabinet. And yeah, I know what you mean, I ended up yanking off a lot of MDF as the joysticks were covered in hot glue and took forever to get off.

    Thanks for the details. I purchased a first-gen MK PCB and am trying to build a box with it. Could you please share the wiring connections of the power switch? I have 12V applied to the PCB jack and am jumpering the power switch pins on the control deck board but it is not drawing any current.

    Good speculation the gen 3 machines indeed have stero speakers

    Awesome vid! I am curious about the buttons though cause I heard only American style or sanwa buttons with the lock ring can fit in the board based on it's thickness. Would love a vid showing how to properly install sanwa or even happ buttons and which ones specifically work best with the cabinet. Keep up the good work!

      I have ArcadeWorldUK version buttons (like Sanwa) and they fit in fine, just make sure you get ones that are 28mm and not 30mm as it will fit

    If you do keep the joysticks like I did myself on my MK cab I just bought a 4lb spring and octangular gate the sticks feel too dollar now 😎

      The buttons are terrible compared to original LI/Happ buttons. They should have a tactile feel and a softer corner on concave.

    You should specify the difference of Sanwa sticks. I replaced all of my sticks with Sanwa JLF which are what these new sticks are based on. Sanwa JLF look completely different from the stick you're showing.

      I noticed that as well. I was wondering what type of Sanwa that is.

    • @HisSvt76
      @HisSvt76 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That confused me as well as I put Sanwa jlf’s in my street fighter cab they have a 5 pin connector like my street fighter shipped with.

    • @stephenang499
      @stephenang499 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes the 1UP sticks are Sanwa JLF clones and should perform just as well as an original, I wonder why so many ppl believe the original Sanwas can be much better than the clones, I have both and the parts are completely interchangeable, that means the dimensions and specs of all the parts are the same, the only difference are the Micro Switches, Sanwa uses Omron MS, but the clones also use a very similar MS, how much difference can the switches be when they are just digital on / off?

    lol I literally just took the cover off my mk control panel to take a look on the inside because I plan to mod it soon and when I hooked everything back up player 1 high kick was non responsive smh so took apart and made sure the connection was tight boom easy fix...

    Nice, one day ill grab one of these. Really want a sfa 2 cab.

    • @GenGamesUniverse
      @GenGamesUniverse 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why wait for them to release it? You can grab one and mod it like ETA Prime did to have a RaspberryPi in which will play all games (minus Killer Instinct 1 and 2) like Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Tekken series (PSX), X-Men, Simpsons etc.

    I'm a fan of these little Do Dads, but by far the Mortal Kombat 2 cabinet is the best looking so far. Cheers.

    Wiring looks much better as well. They upgraded to quick disconnects. The previous run was very cheaply soldered.

    Have you tried another speaker to the 2nd port To see if it works

    • @stephenang499
      @stephenang499 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are no pins in the spkr 2 port so no connection is possible at this stage.

    Awesome video the right direction on my player 2 joy stick was not working on my Mortal kombat 1up so i opened it up and just like u said was a loose wire thank you for the heads up

    What's the wattage of the speaker?

    • @sooby96
      @sooby96 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have the same question. If the stock speaker has enough power going to it, it would be easy to upgrade it to a better speaker.

    • @raptor2569
      @raptor2569 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sooby96 being as mk is only mono I just want to upgrade to a better quality one is all.

    • @sooby96
      @sooby96 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@raptor2569 i agree. if it gets enough wattage then you would know how much upgrading you can do.

    Still trying to decide to pull the trigger. But with a $299 price point plus tax and a riser, hard to pull the impulse buy. Thanks for a great video. Cabinet does look awesome.

    • @GenGamesUniverse
      @GenGamesUniverse 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wouldn't really get it with a riser, I have one without the riser (as it's hard to get over here in the UK) and it is amazing!

    Wish they would have put octagon gates on the controllers but either way I still view this as my favorite cabinet as of right now

    • @stephenang499
      @stephenang499 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can buy Octagonal gates cheaply on Aliexpress.
      www.aliexpress.com/item/4000028654609.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.43aa43309p8i4D&algo_pvid=bba8147e-b122-4d5f-a5da-e916403bca86&algo_expid=bba8147e-b122-4d5f-a5da-e916403bca86-0&btsid=0bb0623f16093812795051796ebcd9&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_,searchweb201603_
      The only downside of Octagonal gates is that they do wear down and after a while, the gates get less effective as they are rounded off.

    I am saddened that you aren't going to be grabbing the golden tee! Its so much different then the others arcade 1 up does. There is a HUGE golden tee following. Still love the channel just as much.

      GHOSTfaceKILLr74 Loving my GT as well. I plan to replace the buttons but my biggest issue with the can is not putting my fingers into the screen on power shots. I kinda go over that with others before even turning it on. Let them get the right feel of a controlled swing so I don’t end up with a busted monitor.
