Those 35 yrs of rules literally ruined our state. In that time, industry fled the state, farm growth reduced, and Bengal’s poor became poorer. Healthcare and education were ruined, graft mushroomed and political violence became endemic. The problem with Bengalis is that we do not want change and we are still living on past. Had we kept changing the govt in every 1 or 2 terms Bengal would been much more prosper today. Keeping aside Politics a cordial relation between center and state is very much needed for better economic development.
You are partially correct sir..but I can't agree with ur statement for the last 10 years of CPIM rule. I admire Buddhadev Bhattacharjee. His political involvement could have made Bengal a better place in terms of Livelihood..Jobs and true secular state. If u see clearly Mamata Banerjee govt. follows the policy of pleasing minority votebank. CPIM never did that.. U can find many mistakes even in Budhhadev Bhattacharya's way of acquisition of lands for industrial or other purposes. U can find many mistakes in Jyoti Basu's rule or Bidhan Roy's rule too but you can never find the issues of hatred between communities ever in that period where there were no internet or TV's. So there's a need for an urgent change in the current govt. So that Bengal could sustain and prevail its lost glory.. it'll take time but slowly & steadily people should realise that the current TMC govt. can never make Bengal a better place for any communities or job seekers or poor people.
