Sorry to anyone getting spoilered by this, I left out the name in the thumbnail and hope this is sufficient. I really enjoyed these new spells and had to share. I only stopped recording to move on to the next build :D NOTE: HOLY DAMAGE IN PVP IS STILL BUGGED. CANVAS TALISMAN, SHARD OF ALEXANDER DO NOT WORK FOR HOLY DAMAGE. Some spells are really underwhelming though, From has to do a bit more testing. I dread playing the new Crucible spells since I tested the damage at Gatefront. - เกม
As someone who was around for ye olde miracle builds of dark souls, it’s insane to see faith builds go from holding a puny bolt of lighting above your head for five seconds and throwing it to calling in a holy nuke followed by an air strike. Miracles and sorcery were getting progressively worse and slower with each game so to see what they’ve become now makes it even more shocking.

back in dark souls faith really felt made for mostly support roles
Sorceries were actually not that bad in dark souls 3 because of the farron spells, and generally just having a couple options outside of "ultra slow cast time projectile that does mid damage unless you stack every damage buff in the game".
Miracles though, yeah...they've been really bad up until now lol

Reminder that sword of light is mandatory on any pure holy damage builds. The ash of war boost YOUR holy damage by 20%, it doesn’t matter if the beam attack hits the enemy or not, it’s an automatic aura buff the moment you use it that last for like 50 seconds

I agree with what you say, Sword of Light will be included in my holy builds in the future, just remember this DLC is new and at the time recording I maybe didn't know that the item even exists 🙂

The shadowland/elden stars combo is my favorite spell spam combo just so many bullshit things coming your way

Ngl, it was a massive disappointment for me that they didn't include a single thing (enemy, spell, ash or war, or weapon) related to black flames or destined death (as well as poison, and other underused types of magic). And it's the only and last DLC. Sigh. The DLC was a little bloated with new features, which usually means the DLC will under-represent the new features (like new weapon categories, and spell classes) and under-support existing stuff that needed more support.
Quite a lot of spells are a tad underwhelming or gimmicky (like the sorcery to teleport), although the dragon communion ones look pretty powerful (except the ghostflame one, since it seems pretty pointless compared to the existing frost breath incantation). The thorn incantations seem to be very powerful at the moment too (instant bleed and the like). But hopefully they'll rebalance things when the patch the game again.

Yeah I myself also tested Rain of Fire and Rotten Butterflies (I was so looking forward to this spell since the trailer) and they really disappointed. Elden Stars and other spells were also sub par on release and they fixed it with patches, so let us hope 🙂and yes, I was fast because I took a day off and didn't sleep really much haha. This game is my passion!

That's mostly false. The DLC is far from bloated with the new features. There isn't THAT many. Either way, most of them are good and welcomed. Almost none of them seem underrepresented, IMO. Especially not the new weapon categories, since you don't need 20+ weapons in each category. Just having a few is enough, which keeps it from being bloated. Also, they did add a few death spells.
As for underwhelming, maybe a few, but they can easily buff accordingly. And there's nothing wrong with a few gimmicky things, either. It's a video game at the end of the day, lol.
You're mad that they didn't put in certain things YOU wanted, so you're lashing out at everything else.

What are some other good weapons to use on this build apart from the Patas and the Coded Sword?
It kind of depends on your level - if I had higher level and more statpoints to spend I would love to use Golden Order Greatsword or even Sacred Relic Sword. Another good option for 150 is claws holy-infused with Endure of Keen and then casting Bloodflame Blade on it (which doesn't fit the theme but is very good). But this is an "old take" - I didn't take a look at all the new weapons though. Sword of Light is good for buffing the damage (if the PvP holy bug doesn't apply) but has bad faith scaling. Madding Hand could be fun too even though it has horrible D D D D scaling.

How much hyper armor does light of miquella have if any?
Not much if any, but it still casts the spell even if you get staggered. You can use this fact to your advantage for very aggressive players.
Just got Miquella’s light. Didn’t know it had so much hyperarmor tho lol. I’ll def test it more in pvp

Ive never really messed with holy stuff. Why do you have and staff and seals on the same build? Does double casting tools really help?
I use Azur's Glintstone staff off hand to benefit from the extra casting speed. I have the Spiraltree Seal in the offhand to increase the damage of the Spiral Incantations (but that was unnecessary since holy damage is bugged in PvP, so you don't benefit from the %damage of the seal). I use 2 Gravel Stone Seals for Dragon Cult Incantations to benefit twice from the +% damage to Dragon Cult Incantations and so on. I hope this new information helps you with your builds!
I was hoping to see more land of shadow casted because i cant find any videos showcasing it during pvp. I onlt seen it used once

what's the purpose of the staff in the right hand? Does give some buff or is needed for specific spell?
If you wear Azur's offhand you still get the passive effect (reduced casting ). It is even better with incantations cause you don't pay the extra FP cost.

@@terrestrialtoker it is no tradeoff because as I stated in the videos description is holy damage bugged in PvP. Canvas Talismans, Shard of Alexander, Seals, Goldmask, all these items do NO difference to your damage in PvP. Go try it out with a friend if you don't believe me. Did you think I play this build without Canvas Talismans on purpose?

@@terrestrialtokeryes. the buffs that work (excluding eventual DLC ones, that I don't know) are:
- holy-shrouding cracked tear
- sacred scorpion charm
- the golden epitaph's AoW buff
- "generic damage buffs" like the ritual sword talisman's and the red-feathered branchsword's (the talisman)
I don't think there's anything else.
(by the way, the debuff to holy defense applied by the staff of the all-knowing works)

Can you pls give advice! I realy want play new dlc and i am in love with pvp. What level you recomend for pvp dueling and inavasion ? I dont want ruin my charecter(( Is 150 level good for pvp or i need level up to 175 and more ? I want stability pvp
Hello! I have 8 characters on 150, one on 100 and one on 125. I didn't yet dare to go higher out of fear to not find as many invasions when the player count drops, but in fact I did read that there also are a lot of invasions at 175, 200 and so on - I will probably take the 125 to 175 just for my Death Sorcery builds which always require a heavy stat investment. Most builds work at 150 so there often is no reason to go higher. I hope this helps!

I would assume that you're not actually getting a damage buff from using the spiral seal in your right hand because of the holy damage pvp bug. Or are the spiral incantations not exclusively holy damage?
I thought so too halfway through, so I had the staff equipped mostly.

Not really hyper armor, but as you can see the spell still goes off after getting staggered, you just need to surpass a little "casting-timewindow".

What level are you? Is 301 too high for invasion? I’m on ng+ 4
My build and level is displayed at the start of every video, here I am lvl 150. Since you also find invasions at 700+ you also find some on 300 I believe, probably just not as many as on meta level (125-150).

Go out of you’re way to collect enough scadutree fragments to get to max blessing and you’ll have stats high enough to make the bosses significantly easier

holy damage is kinda sucks in vanilla pve, but faith build(including fire, black fire, lightning etc etc)was never been bad.

Holy damage is bugged in PvP, if you run around with Goldmask and double GO Seal in PvP then know it does add nothing to your build. Also Light of Miquella is no GO spell as far as I know.

No, Spiral Incantations are holy damage and holy damage is bugged in PvP. Otherwise I would also use Canvas Talismans.

The Arcs are the best "little" spells of new ones unfortunately. Spira taking 2 slots and performing like this hurts. I was hoping to be as annoying as the enemies casting it haha.

To me using the spells available in the game is satisfaction, why be so spiteful about it? Of course very experienced players know how to play around it, I never stated high skill is required. Does it always have to be skillful to be fun? You probably enjoy Liurnia bonfire meta melee duels which I consider boring af. To each their own, just enjoy the game and let others do the same.

Compared to DS3 where you could be EVEN with mages or spell casters no problem it was balanced. Not in ER. Real satisfaction comes where your skill is being tested and using OP spells is not skill dude. I have no ill intention towards you but seeing this so many times by people who feel proudness and then upload it as if they trully are good is getting old. Your satisfactiojn comes from the fact that Fromsoft gave you and others EZ mode just as Crapcom did with a ruined franchise like Street Fighter 6 with their AUTO combos and 1 button supers... Sorry if i came accross bitter it's just that ER is trash for PvP due to easy OP mechanics that wasn't there in DS1, DS2, DS3.
If you rely on Elden Ring for the “pride of accomplishing something” Id recommend you get a life and stop judging people for how playing with the silly video game they bought😅
