@lol-se5lw to recap: This game is, say it with me now, CHINESE. That's right it was made in China! Where anti gay censor laws are everywhere! This means that gay people throughout time in China have had to find ways to conceal the gayness in their stories. One way they did this is through tropes like the "Sworn Brother" trope. This trope is simply two men who swear never to harm one another and in the Chinese translation (which is the canon translation because that's where genshin is from) they are sworn brothers which means the ship is gay its canon and you're worshipping a literal false translation of the game ♡ and you can't get mad at me because Chinese speakers have been saying this same thing but racists like you keep trying to scream over them. Stop being racist ♡
@@StarlingAurora Bruh DILUCS DAD ADOPTED KAEYA, KAEYA LITERALLY REFERS TO CREPUS(Diluc’s dad) AS FATHER. Also sworn brothers always has meant just loyalty to each other, the ship isn’t confirmed. Also racist is skin color, so please, stop acting childish and pulling the “racist card”
Kaeya was a ward. This means that seeing the relationship as brotherly or romantic is valid. Why? There would be really severe consequences for both him and Diluc if he were an officially recognized son of House Ragnvindr (given Mondstadt is based on the Holy Roman Empire and Dawn Winery is set up as a essentially the last feudalist lands from the remnants of Mondstadt aristocracy.) If a son of equal age to the existing heir of the fanily were officially recognized, that would put the current heir at serious risk of losing everything. That is virtually unheard of. Additionally, if Kaeya were officially recognized as a son of House Ragnvindr, he would have to abandon his birth family, his heritage, and any birthrights. Kaeya- as seen in Caribert and his hangouts- is NOT going to do that. He’s too proud of his lineage. If Kaeya saying Crepus was “like a father” or Diluc is “like a brother” equals legal adoption status, then that actually is pretty damning for the Ragnvindr family considering Adelinde said the same thing and they made her raise two boys while working as a maid… So evidence and rationality says Kaeya is a ward. Wards are orphans and children of low prospects taken in by the lord (Crepus) and given housing, food, clothing, and an education. Why? First, out of responsibility, the lord of the land must care for his vassals. Second- political, economic, and marital gains. Political- you areange for them to be placed in positions of power such as secretaries or knights where they may earn titles for themselves or serve their lord’s house (Kaeya did this. He earned his own title as captain which means he no longer has to maintain ties to house Ragnvindr.) Economic- you train them to work for the Lord’s house (Charlse, Adelinde, and Elzor did this.) Marital- PEOPLE WOULD AREANGE MARRIAGES OF THEIR WARDS WITHIN AND OUTSIDE THE FAMILY. THAT’S HOW THEY WERE OFFICIALLY RECOGNIZED AS “CHILDREN” OF THE FAMILY. If you want to argue that he calls himself the “adopted son” of Crepus, I would like to inform you that in the English translation of Sailor Moon, Sailor Uranus and Neptune were “cousins.”And also very obviously madly in love with each other. Because homosexuality was considered taboo for western audiences. TLDR: Kaeya isn’t Diluc’s brother. He can be interpreted as having a brotherly relationship to the point of wishing he was his brother and talking as such, but they aren’t brothers. Kaeya is a WARD. Which means- with historic and cultural evidence to back it- shipping is fair game.
They are not. Kaeya is over 500 years old and not related to Diluc. The misconception is that they are "sworn brothers". This means that they've sworn loyalty to each other, but they are basically just friends canonically. I don't mean to offend, and I know this is a really controversial topic, but I feel I must protec two of my favorite characters. No hard feelings.
@@Meh_thefifth-nm5zu I don't mind shipping them but I just think this is just to sus and thank you for telling me that there not brother because my squid ass didn't know that :3
@@Meh_thefifth-nm5zuCanonically, Crepus, Diluc’s father, adopted Kaeya, Kaeya has even referred to Crepus as father. Also, how could Kaeya be 500 years old if he is also the canon younger brother? It makes no sense, yes he comes from a destroyed 500 year old civilization, but that doesn’t mean he truly is 500 years old. Once again pls dont take offense on any of this, I just have tendencies to correct things if I think they’re wrong-
@@somerandomartisthere Canonically, the English translation isn't canon and canonically they're sworn brothers and canonically in Chinese he called him sworn father/Godfather out of respect and canonically well in this case theoretically there's a theory that Kaeya is from 500 years ago as he is from Khanrea so. but it is canonically that he was sent there as a spy.
ADORABLE 💗💗💗
Day two commenting any Kaeya post 'cause i love him. I need see this in game, i can't stand see they don't getting alone anymore 😢
I think it has something to do with Diluc's dad being murdered and Kaeya being there, but I could be wrong.
