At least this game didn't get made into a movie. Not because it's a bad idea, but because I wouldn't want Harrison Ford to act out that whole intro sequence in real life. He already has enough problems with on-set injuries with the Indy movie he's working on now.
There was three different paths in the game. Wits path (puzzles), Fists (puzzles but lots of fist fighting) and Team (puzzles with Sophia Hapgood as your side kick).
DOSBox is a MS-DOS emulator and ScummVM is essientially another emulator. Emulators allow you to play something on a system that it wasn't designed for.

Yes the CD version of the game has full voice sound but the floppy version doesn't.

Yes it can be played on Windows XP, either using ScummVM or DOSBox. You should be able to get the game off Ebay.
