I don't disagree with all of the stuff he says but the AP shots is capable of landing citadel hits on lightly armored battleships and cruisers as seen, but the he shells can land citadel hits on every ship in it's class especially cruisers and slaughters the küma tier IV cruiser when firing High Explosive near the rear third of the ship, but on destroyers the ap shells have a 50/50 shot at landing shots in the citadel, and all British battle ships do come with a HE bonus, the iron duke comes with superior pen of HE shells and improved chance of setting fire, causing the British battleships primarily effective with HE against all ships and most ranges. All around one of my favorite ships in the game one tapping even the Pyotr Velikiy tier IV battleship from the U.S.S.R. with perk, Ironclad (Above-Average armor thickness. Greater resistance to all forms of armor penetration) landing 5 citadel hits in a single volley. Give the ship a try, won't disappoint
The iron duke has the smallest guns in jts class at t4. The uron duke is 13.5 in guns where the other bbs are 14in guns. Now the queen elizabeth has 15in guns where other navys still use 14in at t5. The QE is a great ship and iv been told that the warspite premium ship has the same AP as the other navys BB
Don't just hate the British battleships, I have the vanguard and it's AMAZING! Killed 3 Iowas with my ARMOR PIERCING. But still I'll always be subscribed. Keep up the great work!
Just unlocked the tier 5 King George this thing ain’t a bad shit I’ve found the iron duke seems to take hits better but can’t dish them out as consistently.
SpartanElite43, you should practice using the quick aim function with your main guns. SOOO many times, I see you holding your shots and waiting for an enemy ship poke their nose around the corner of an island. The game gives you an auto aiming feature to help you hit those behind the mountain sneaky shots, and just to help line up citadel shots easier. Think of it similar to the torpedo aim assist feature. The computer is telling you where you should aim given their CURRENT speed and heading for a citadel hit. Generally, you can scope in, slight adjustment on the aim to account for speeding up or slowing down or turning, fire and get a solid hit. We've found it works best on battleships, needs more adjustments to cruisers, and quite a bit for destroyers. But it works GREAT on behind mountain shots. Definitely something you should talk about in a video.
the british battleships aren't the slowest. At each tier the british battleship is faster than the american battleship. for all battleships it's faster to turn than to rotate the turrets until tiers 6 and 7. the rudder shift time on the british battleships isn't very much different from others at the same tiers. and the british ap is in my opinion better than other battleship ap because of the short fuse. far fewer overpenetrations on cruisers, which can often mean the difference between hitting the citadel to get that cruiser that got close to you while you were dealing with other targets, or over penetrating it and getting torpedoed. and against other battleships hitting the citadel is still possible, definitely more difficult, but it's doable. but because of the shorter fuse, when dispersion decides to make your shell to miss the armour belt, the british ap will still do high damage instead of over penetrating like other battleships. it's also possible to not over penetrate destroyers 100% of the time.
Also the vanguard has some of the best armor and health ever. I also played PC and I killed a Yamato! I was last left on the team and he was last left too. I had half Hp he had full. I drove lead into the side of his ship with 3 citadels! Vanguard is a great ship for citadeling. But IT can be citadeled too.
I just got the Queen Elizabeth, you lose one turret but the guns are much better and more than make up for the loss of two guns. Plus it gets a fighter plane

The more I've played them the more I've enjoyed it. I've had a couple of cruise citidels from HE before with the Queen Elizabeth. Fully upgraded it's fairly good.
See almost every battle I get in this boat, you just gotta hope you fight cruisers, because this thing EATS full health cruisers like a snack. Not too good against other battleships, but can defend itself fairly good.
I love the Iron Duke. Consistently deals damage. I've never had a problem with over penetrating a DD, which are really the biggest threat to a BB. Cruisers get wrecked. I've dropped a single salvo on cruisers and delete them routinely. I've even managed citadels on BB's at range because of plunging fire, up close not so much but like you said the hits keep coming. I've resigned myself to the fact that nothing happens quickly on a BB.
The British BB's were the first set of ships I went through... I didn't find a problem with them... the U.S on the other hand is atrocious.... I think your knocking the British just because you want to... and like you said perhaps your hate is clouding your judgement... hey I'm not hating I'm just giving you my 5 cents.. great videos Spartan keep it up, always good to see a new video.

Just hang in there, you'll probably enjoy Queen Elizabeth quite a bit. Royal Navy BBs are the most demanding BB line so far but using good angling and now tanking you'll easily dictate the game better than any other battleship. The sides are virgin tryhards but the bow is a Chad Unicum and the guns smack peasants with impunity
Iron Duke has 13.5 inch guns, same as Orion at tier 3...New York and Kongo have 14 inch guns, so technically, Iron Duke has the smallest guns of its tier...I think they're more accurate, though...? The Queen Elizabeth at tier 5 gets 15 inch guns, and is considered by many to be the highlight of the line...King George reverts to 14 inch guns, but has great armor, even on the deck (unlike the Queen), so lots of people give up on AP, and the Vanguard will apparently severely punish even the slightest mistake in armor angling, making it the least appreciated tier 7... I know that my Warspite is incredible, and my motivation to pursue this line is minimal, since I have it, and earn buckets of silver with it, so... Good luck Spartan! Let us know how it works out! 😆👍
By far the best I’d ever done in a battleship, normally hit nothing but water 😂. Would carry harder but not sure my back has recovered from that game yet 😂
Got to admit it's not the easiest ship to play with due to as you said the turrets turning so slowly but once you get the QE and the KGV it's a lot more fun and can now tank a lot in all 3 ships, got the vanguard but it's definitely not the best as the KGV is definitely better but she still hits seriously hard if they show their broadsides😂
@@popcorn_wut You are correct. The Japanese tier 4 Battleship Kongo is done so I'll be moving on to the next tier 4 battleship that I haven't played yet which is the British Iron Duke.
I get worried when I see British battleships on the enemy team but if I see an American or Japanese one my good old British battleship sends them to Davy Jones locker

Hey spartan. Big fan you should try the George V. Don't know what it is about that ship but I love bouncing tier 4, 5 and most of 6 some of 7 bb ap. And the guns aren't awful. But I agree the brits do have the worst battleships. Destroyers are most fun in my opinion.
It dosen't take an hour and a half for the iron duke to turn it takes longer than the turrets Actually no the turrets so turrets are slower they match the speed of my brain
British battleships are a challenge. Dispersion is awful (particularly at range), armour is okay from front, AP is annoying to get right (where are my citadels?????), and HE spam feels downright cheap and nasty in them. American and Japanese are easier to do well in. And the Brits get more difficult the higher tier they are. Lovely 😆😂
It's all about speed, heals, and active swtiching between AP and HE with RN BBs. I love them....especialy the King George V.

Lol the wyoming and New York are a bit rough but tier 5 and up are fantastic.

when you get the upgrades for the iron duke the main guns rotate much quicker

Just got Iowa yesterday after the long road and now I'm broke. Few matches today and I finally broke 150k damage in a single match xD

genuinly stop this grind, not worth it
