I literally only just discovered him, so I saw him mature in a very short time.
Great music and adorable personality. Along with New Zealand artist Marlon Williams my best discovery of the past years. Thanks to TH-cam for suggesting.

I love his acoustic sets. So calm, warm, welcoming, safe, like being wrapped up in a blankie with someone you love.
What a versatile artist Declan is! Lovely to hear Isabel come out of her shell some more. This one is a totally immaculate wonderful vibe, thank you!
He can do this laid back chill style and still pull out thumping screamers like British Bombs, Rapture, Isombard. Sure to catch even more of an audience spanning cultures, background, demographic, language.
This is real pure authentic music.
You can tell he puts everything he's been gifted with into his hard work. I appreciate that he doesn't crumble to the pressure to put new material out, trusting the process until it's ready to keep rising like a well rounded ball of dough.
The Big Return Era is turning out to be a newly paved road in another direction with some oldies in different flavors. Declan delivers like your favorite ice cream cone with unexpected bits and drizzles of pure delight.

Declan is my best discovery in years.
I love that mix of intelligence, oddity, social and political commitment, passion for music (and peculiar taste in music). The genius that made him write amazing "Brazil" at 15, the low interest in market needs, the outstanding generosity of his performances on stage. He's certainly underrated, but it's the price he pays for his intellectual independence.
And I think he's a great songwriter
