Concerning this story, I really appreciated the TV version with Rowan Atkinson. He was magistral. Even here in France they grudgingly acknowledged that he had surprised every one with his version of Maigret. Thanks for these uploads. I have gone thru each of them 4 or 5 times on other channels and never tire of Maurice Denham's interesting performance. 😊
I love these. I also have almost every book, and they are among the best ever. I've seen the tv series with the wonderful Michael Gambon, he recently passed away, age 82. Thank you for airing these. Maurice Denham was a very fine actor, too.
Rowan Atkinson's portrayal of Maigret was well done, as was Michael Gambon's portrayal. This radioplay series is done as if Maigret is telling Simenon about his cases. A new twist on story telling but creative. The only thing that is annoying is the music starting at the end while the actors are still talking. Enjoy hearing these stories. Thanks!
Hmm, deux chats, white with ginger, and darker - perhaps Siamese? Agree with below about the Maigret series circa 2018 featuring an extraordinary production team and cast led by a quiet, contemplative Rowan Atkinson - proving wonderfully that sometimes, less is more!!
Look at the perspective in the AI image. All to pot at the end of the street, and the shops have no doorways 😂😂 just saying. Love all these stories and the adaptations too. Merci bouquet.

I’d like to know if Atkinson’s portrayal was closer to the author’s description in the novels?
@@trinidad2450Physically, he was too small and slim.
@@sheibanineda2488 I was very surprised at how good Mr Atkinson was!! I still saw him as Mr Bean! Lol
@@sheibanineda2488 I wholly agree about Rowan Atkinson's Maigret. I thought he was wonderful!!
I loved the television series starring Michael Gambon; this particular episode was really good.
Me too.

I am enjoying these plays so much, thank you!
Were they produced for radio? I notice the run times are all about 42 minutes.
I love this series, thank you.

I have read and listened to and watched Simenon. I really like the cats used in the art; of course, I would. I am a childless cat lady.
I love these..so appealing
The cat 🐈⬛🐈⬛
This chat was difficult to find.
On the window sill, the first one on the left moving his tail 😊

😂😂😂 It’s fun to pick out the missing feet, extra hands, objects that disappear into other objects in the AI images.
Ps i think there's a moggy in all of the illustrations too 🙀🙀 two in this one.
The cat watches
Human Beings, not doings!
Crime reporters would not be allowed into police stations let alone sit outside chief inspector's offices.
Suspend your disbelief.😂
In France, in what, the 1950's? Doubt that you are in a position to know!
Love the series but do all the French male actors sound like they have a mouth full of spit😵💫
Maurice Denham is British
Going to a private school when I was young you find boys
At a all boys school
Now my father & mother worked to get me threw that school
There were boys that had influence over the school to get them out of playing sports :
-- where every boy wanted to play a sport :
Football
basketball
soccer
hockey
Swimming
-- The only way the boy got out of playing Sports was a
rich father. :
-- I gave a huge money to the school besides his tuition. !
-- you said to me one of the hallways
-- Sweating all over is the most disgusting feeling !
-- I said to him :
-- You'll never be a man. A man works hard playing or working !!!!!
-- till this day I still know that man if you want to call on that
He's an accountant.
And never married :
I guess. :
He still does not,
