_Don't_ touch Steve's switch. Steve has anger management problems. He's already been put on a performance improvement plan by HR, and honestly, we're all a little afraid he's gonna snap soon.

OMG the ARK simulation thing drove me bananas. I didn't look it up and I should have, because I swear I was toggling features for a good half hour before I found the _exact_ combination that works. Not to mention leaving the sim running for ages before I realized I had to stop it on dummy. Worst. Puzzle. Ever. I love the story of this game so far, but my god, if they ever remaster it, I hope they redo the puzzles.
I'm only a little ahead of you, by the way. We're kind of playing in parallel. It's fun this way! 🙂

Your experience makes me feel better! I had such a hard time with both puzzles and assumed it was just me. The Dummy one especially annoyed me because if you talk with Catherine again, she says, “Load the Dummy, then pause the simulation.” In my mind, that didn’t translate to, “Stop it when the word ‘Dummy’ comes up.”
Did you have a hard time finding the chip reader (the second thing you plug in) during the Brandon simulation? When I first played it I didn’t know what I was looking for and just kept exploring the two rooms until I accidentally found it.
      I’m so glad you’re playing too ☺️

@@wonderasiwander3964 I tend to do an exhaustive sweep of every room in a game, looking for stuff that isn't just set dressing, so finding the other item wasn't so bad, but it actually took me a while to notice the slot on the table where you can retrieve the scan room, so I was stuck for a little while on that one.
I'm told this exhaustive sweeping makes me tedious to watch when playing, so it's kind of understandable if you don't do it by habit yourself.

Exhaustive sweeping is necessary sometimes, though-you gotta do what you gotta do. 🙂

No lie I hate Catherine with a passion. Her plan was flawed like how is she going to get people OFF the ARK???? Like honestly I would have left her ages ago.
Btw I was super surprised to see you make little work of that monster I personally couldn't do it because I'm 🐔

Yeah, Catherine is interesting because she’s doesn’t come off like a villain per se, but she acts like her priorities are the most important thing, even if people die because of them. She clearly wants to be valued, yet she easily dismisses others’ concerns. If she double-crosses Simon in some way I wouldn’t be surprised. But, yeah, like you’re pointing out, her ARK plan seems flawed.
The initial sounds of the monster scared me more than anything-all that screeching. I would have had a harder time if he’d been more aggressive.

I didn't get the impression that she or anyone else expected people to leave the ARK. It was a last-ditch attempt to save some remnant of humanity digitally in space, since it wasn't going to survive biologically on Earth. I think even Simon sounded like he expected only to get on it, not off, since at least within the ARK he would feel like he was a human among humans, rather than a weird robot with human bits stuck on. I might not be remembering something they said to the contrary, though.
But no, don't like Catherine. Too matter-of-fact about the suffering or death of others. Upset about her project being put on hold instead of people dying. I also don't trust her to mention stuff she thinks we don't need to know. I mean, she didn't mention being a simulation at first, which probably doesn't matter to her, but obviously we'd find interesting and potentially useful to know.
