Lol when you panned to the menu of Salt & Straw I was like “ooh, honey lavender!” then you were immediately like “you might be turned off by some of the names; I mean really, honey lavender?” 😂😂 I’ll have you know, that flavor is fantastic!
@@savannah4439 I’m sure it is or it wouldn’t be on the menu. 🤣 But lavender does not sound like a good ice cream flavor.
I had a Mac and Cheese one there once. Now that was strange. 😂
What I want to know is what the heck is culinary perfume??
The olive oil one is so good.
I thought the same thing! Honey and lavender or olive oil are delicious!
Best way I can describe the honey lavender ice cream, is that it taste like a creamy milky earl gray tea ice cream. As someone who does not like floral/flowery tasting foods, this flavor is exceptional and is my go to flavor.
My family left disneyland and got pizza at napolini to save costs and the pizza was so good!! We returned after. Way worth it! Love these videos
Great video as always! Have a great week!
Thank you for including the hotels!! ❤
I am taking my family to Disneyland in June and have been watching mostly your videos at work and the tips have been great. I went to Disneyland once a year when I was child and lived in Southern CA I have pictures as a baby there even. Been back a few times but so much has changed over the years. I am old enough to remember when you had to buy tickets to ride the rides if that tells you anything. Back to your videos now I just ordered metal straws yesterday after seeing how bad those paper straws were and I am really interested in building my own lightsaber and your tips on using lighting lane pass will help a lot. Please keep them up they are helping a lot of people I bet just like me.
Listening to this podcast style on the drive home tonight…as if I wasn’t already hungry. 😂
Great info! I don’t always spend as much time exploring Downtown Disney as I’d like so this was really helpful for our next visit.
Great video thank you Traver
We used to always split special treats like smoothies between our two boys when they were little, it's a great money saving hack. And although my boys are 18 and 20 now, we still take trailmix and our home made sandwiches into the park and save the splurge for a Crazy Shake. Lots of changes to DTD since our visit last Spring, thanks for the updates!
I've done the character dining at all the locations in Disneyland: Minnie Mouse and Friends at Plaza Inn, Mickey's Tales of adventure in Grand Californian, Disney Princess breakfast adventure at Napa Rose GC, and Goofy's Kitchen at Disneyland hotel. Out of all of them, Goofy's kitchen was by far the worst out of all of them. We arrived right on time and had to wait an additional 50 minutes before being seated. And the food did not taste fresh at all despite going for breakfast at 9am. The price is similar to Minnie's and Mickey's character dining, but those seemed to work out better in timing and food quality being so much better. But the best by far in terms of quality, interaction of characters, timeliness, and attentiveness was Princess Adventure. That was expensive but I have never had such an amazing experience before, and it was all due to the staff treating everyone in my party like VIP (memorizing all of our names and catering to every specific need we asked for and anticipating needs we didn't even think to ask for). Hope this can help other people who may be trying to decide which one is worth it. As for Goofy's, my husband and I both thought it wasn't worth it, especially when there are better character dining options for similar pricing.
Your videos are so well done!
Great video Traver!!!!👏👏
Love your content man, thank you for all the amazing info!
Love all this info! If you haven’t already, would love a video of other dining options within walking distance off property. ☺️

@ thank you! You’re the best!
Traver, Goofy's Kitchen has also increased their prices. They are $10.00 higher now than what you showed. Some great new places I'll need to put on my list to try. I absolutely loved this video/vlog. So much useful planning information!
Wow, even though I’ve been there, I had no idea there were so many options here! Another great video! Thanks 😃
nice vid! keep up the great work
Great info. for planning food options, thank you!
WoW!!! I was literally looking for a 2025 downtown Disney food guide this morning (for our trip to Disneyland next month). Thanks for this great video 🤩
Missed so many of these gems on our last trip. Won't be missing any this year!! 🎉
I just love the beignets from Mint Julep…the ones from WDW were kinda disappointing 😢
Please be safe out there, praying for all those affected by the fires.
Thank you for the video 😊
I haven't tried the ones from POFQ yet. We meant to this last trip but it didn't turn out that way.
I finally got an indoor reservation at Trader Sam’s in December - it was a lot of fun! My tip for snagging a reservation is to look a lot earlier than the other reservations come online - about 2 hours before. But you’re right about walk-up: we waited a while for our table, but it was not full and people were getting in for a late lunch at 3pm.
@@jackieshaw9256 I’ve heard walk up is harder the longer you wait. That’s why we did right when it opened.
It also seems like no parties larger than 4 people. They’ll have to be split.
They might have a 6 seater or two outside, but nothing inside. It’s too tight.
True - you can’t reserve for more than 4 people.
We LOVED Salt and Straw on our most recent visit. I also got the (vegan) pb one like Amy. Loved it! Sampled a lot of flavors but wish we had done more, especially the unique flavors.
I could eat at Din Tai Fung every week! Miss that place already!
Another awesome video. You're "woo'ing" me to come back! Ha!
@@johnanderson4633 Third trip is calling you!
@SoCalDisneyDad If I were a rich man, I'd be an annual pass holder and fly in monthly! I feel like whenever is next it will probably be World, but when I look at it, the list of rides, everything...just, my heart is in Cali.
I'm going next week ! hope the situation in LA is gonna be better, praying for everyone
The honey lavender ice cream is so good!
Thanks for the video traver
Yum yum...just want to travel back to Anaheim for Disney downtown foods 😋
The $18 chicken sandwich made my mouth drop 😂 that’s a crazy price 🥲
Thanks for sharing
Love 💕 Jamba Juice 🥤 so delicious 😋 my favorite is the razzmatazz so good and fruity too downtown Disney has some amazing dining definitely going to check them out next time I visit Disney
I absolutely love it. I just wish it were more affordable. I miss the Berry Pom I used to get at Orange Julius, too. But the nearest one to us is at a mall I don't really visit all that often.
Needed this today! We are trying to decide where to eat !
Everything has changed so much, since I was last there. Food looks great, but incredibly expensive. I think Trader Sam’s may be a must on our next get away. Thank you!!
The Dragon dog at the Blue Ribbon corn dog cart is just about the best corn dog in (or around) the parks to my taste. It costs more but it is also much larger.
@@Doughgasm I’ll have to try that one! So long as it’s not the pickle one. 😅
Another great video! 😁 Not sure if you already know, but there are now two additional places to get food at the Disneyland Hotel that weren’t in your video….The Palm Breeze Bar and The Broken Spell Lounge. They both serve food. The Palm Breeze serves lunch and dinner from 11am - 8 pm and The Broken Spell serves dinner from 4-midnight.
@@misskelleymarie I went by and grabbed footage, but decided not to cover places where the primary purpose is alcohol. The one exception being Trader Sam’s.
@ gotcha. I thought Palm Breeze was equally food focused, but Broken Spell is definitely more of a drinks first, then food type of place.
Cute kids, Nice mom, Disney dad.
Could you do a video on off Disneyland property eating locations that you can walk to that are not so overpriced? Like maybe Gardenwalk or places along Harbor?
Here you go:

Honey Lavender is my go-to at Salt and Straw. Don't knock it until you try it.
@@courtneybaeyen Not knocking the flavor. The whole point of my message was to NOT get turned off by the strange names.
Because Lavender and Olive Oil don’t exactly sound like ice cream flavors.
They are strange flavor names. But definitely go to Salt and Straw and try it!
Looking forward to a 2025 Splitsville Luxury Lanes video on the channel! 🤞🏻
👍
🏆Din Tai Fung - Make a Reservation if you can.
Get the Xiao Long Bao and the green beans. And the chocolate ones for desert.
I don't eat pork and I would for Din Tai Fung.
please update on fires and disneyland. should people cancel upcoming trips? 2/5/25
@@Glen- The fires are fairly far away. Disneyland isn’t impacted. And February is also really far out as well.
You should be fine.
@@SoCalDisneyDad thankyou!

Do I have to pay for parking?
Here’s direct from their website:
Downtown Disney District Parking is at the Simba Lot, located off of Disneyland Drive, between West Katella Avenue and Pixar Place Hotel.
The first hour of parking costs $10. Validations apply after the first hour of paid parking.
Enjoy an additional 3 hours of same-day parking with a $20-minimum purchase and validation from any Downtown Disney location-or up to 5 additional hours of same-day parking with validation from any Downtown Disney table-service restaurant.
Beyond these validations, each additional hour costs $14, charged in 30-minute increments, with a minimum $7. The maximum daily parking and lost ticket fee is $66. Parking is subject to capacity.
Please note that restaurants and lounges within Disneyland Resort hotels do not validate for Downtown Disney District parking areas.
Hey my friend, are the fires a problem at all?
@@Jordansthemeparkadventures No. It’s not anywhere near Disneyland. At least not near enough to have any effect.
I’m not actually sure how far away they are. But I’d guess an hour or more.
Google Pixel 9 Pro XL
I thought about getting the Hawaiian platter if we went over there. There wasn't time. :/
Next time. 😉
Lots of new restaurants in 2024
And more coming, too. At least 3 that we know of, if you include the new Earl of Sandwich location, though it may end up selling the same stuff as the current Tavern, so maybe not.
And then the news that ESPN Zone is being split into 3 tenants might indicate the possibility for more food there, though who really knows what it will be.
@ oh yeah I forgot about the ESPN zone. That seems super boring and somewhere I don’t want to go 😆😆 but I know there a lot of sports fans and will attract a different demographic than most of the current offerings
@@kristenhoskin5822 It won’t be ESPN Zone anymore. It’s just the building being utilized for something else. We just don’t know what yet. Could be 3 stores. Who knows.
@ ohh gotcha
Wetzle's is a must stop for my youngest. SUPER expensive at DTD. Why!?! (No need to answer, I know why.)

How is the wildfire affecting the environment at Disney
@@topdawgentlv7029 No issues here. Clear blue skies. You’d have no idea anything is going on.
You MUST TRY the Breakfast carne asada burrito at TIENDITA it is amazing and very shareable, worth the $18, and it will fill you up till lunch for sure. And the Bananas Fosters beignets are to die for.
