No I just arrived in the city of Eugenstadt should I made Albert a level two craftman or should I wait until I can recruit one of the characters that I am going to be using the Rosalian Mage class.
+Wig A Lee I'd say for now you can wait. You don't even have a full team yet. I'd say... go to Eugenstadt castle and start the quest inside of it. Just a heads-up: to properly complete this quest you'll need to recruit 2 characters for it and you don't have room in your party currently. Probably best to remove all possible stuff from the Minstrel and then do one of the following: Option 1) Return to Gato's village, and enter the pub. This'll remove the Minstrel from the party, as it is an area, where he normally resides Option 2) Once the Eugenstadt quest leads you to the other city, leave that castle, and find the pub inside that city. Again, this disbands him Option 3) Just start the whole quest. It'll end with the 2 characters not finding room, and leaving off without you. NOW go to the pub, and talk with some NPCs between the harbor and the castle. A kid and a man, they should tell you where the dungeon is, where you'll find the 2 at the entrance, and they'll join you. I don't feel like I have the time to explain things about that dungeon and quest now. Try to get through it. It might get tricky later, but I'll be sure to help you then. Oh, also, when you get the 2 guys into your team, you won't be allowed to leave the Knight's Dominion until completing the quest, and one of the 2 will not be recruitable later... just a heads up
I finally at last was able to defeat all three caves in the shiverlands I just arrived in Eugenstadt I have 2800 in gold and 347 in jewels can you think of anything the I might need in Eugenstadt while I am here or should I wait until I have a chance to recruit one of the characters that I want from a pub and turn them into a Rosalian Mage.

I guess you could teach Craftsman level 2 to Albert. It'd help his Cosmology a lot, plus, the class has a BP cost reduction skill, which should make the Moonbeam thing much easier. +Wig A Lee There are tons of useful characters and it's less about whom you have and rather what you do with them. In regards to Albert please be specific: -Is this still his prologue? You're trying to clear the 3 caves? -Who are your party members?
I just finished the quest Unsettling settlement I changed Abert from an entertainer to a wizard class and I made Guella-ha a castle-knight I am on event rank three are there any easy quest that where I might be able to make a little extra money and how do I go about raising my search skill.
+Wig A Lee Well, "Wuhan's Secret" in South/North Estamir is pretty easy and short. As for upgrading your Search level, I'd say you could either raise someone's RANGER (Melvir, Loban or Tarmitta) or THIEF (South Estamir) level. If I understand this right, none of your characters has a class level of 3. This is good. Only get to class level 3 once you are absolutely certain that this works for you and want to keep it. Level 3 is quite expensive, and likely the last thing you'll manage to get before the game ends. Although, if you do get certain, you could go for it.
If I give Albert the moonbeam spell will I still be able to use the tactic that you mention to me do you know if any of the caves in the shiverlands offer anything that I might be able sell to make a little more money
+Wig A Lee Ok, Moonbeam is a useful spell, especially if you keep Albert for Cosmology, HOWEVER, it has a higher BP cost than Sunray, so if you can't use Sunray efficiently... well, you likely won't get to use Moonbeam, hence my doubts if it's something to get right now. Classes are a tough call here. Imperial Knight can be learned in Loban, but I have some doubts if 120 jewels would be enough to get that class to level 2. So maybe it'd be best to level Swordsman, or ...... wait, DEFINITELY level Craftsman level 2. Not sure you'll use it, but that'll get your Cosmology level to 2, which shall decrease the BP cost of that Sunray spell. As for equipment... The Crystal Cartel in Loban does sell "Metal Greaves". It is quite an expensive piece, but with 10 defense, it'd do wonders for Albert's survivability. In the same store, you'd also get "Steel Gauntlets", which have a LOT of defense too. This would leave you with only around 500 gold, but that still leaves you enough, for when you get to Gato's village: in "Valhalland General Store" they sell Pelts. Maybe it's inferior to your current armor, but if not, buy it! Valhalland Outfiters also says cheap caps. Again: if it's better than what you have now, buy it! So... I think that's a good use for your funds and jewels, BUT REMEMBER, consider getting those extra First-Aid-Kit charges in Loban, it might be helpful! Also emmm.... make multiple back-up saves. I wouldn't want you to have to re-do the whole game just because of some bad choices.

+Wig A Lee ok, the Demon scout is tough. Albert deals the least damage, so it'd probably be best to give not only the First aid kit to him, but also all the balms that the other characters have. Also, in the Position menu, put him in the last row, so he gets a defense boost. Have the soldiers and Diana attack, use Sonic Blade with Diana! As for Albert: keep defending and focus on healing. Something like that might work
+Wig A Lee .... There's 2 ways. One involves the unlocking ofthe Steppes of Gallessa, Uso, Northpoint, and then using the harbor to reach Walon Isle, there you go from this one village to the one on the other side of the island (just 1 screen to reach it), where you take the ship to Melvir. The second way involves the continental approach. First you reach Bruelle, there, near the water, but not quite in the harbor, you will find a woman, who'll tell you about Beaure Plateau. I can't remember if this unlock Aurefont or not, but even if not, you can run through the Plateau to the other side where you'll find the city of Aurefont, which is where you may find Claudia/Gray,. And from there.... I forget. I cannot remember which NPCs unlock new cities, while I bet someone in Bruelle or Aurefont would mention the capital or Loban...... sorry, I should perhaps try and make some guide regarding that to help people.

+Wig A Lee Money is hard to come by. It's pretty much impossible to collect it via grinding, as most monsters do not drop money. What I do mostly is ... sell junk that I don't need in stores. Plus there are quests which reward you with money, and that's a quick source. Saving them up is a good idea too. Explain to me what part of the game you're at right now. Have you reached Crystal City already?
It all depends on: -the character's weapon skill level -the monster's spark rate (generally, the stronger it is, the better it gets) -and the attack being used If you want to learn a specific technique, you need to use a specific one as well. However, the basic attacks truly have the most broad spectrum of techniques to spark. Although there's techniques with broad spectrum of techniques to get. So even if you skip past the max ER for a quest while exploring, it should not matter, as long as the quest concludes inside of that very dungeon with a cutscene, and in the case of the inkeeper's daughter, that is certainly the case, so chill, just beat the quest. Ok, while you do want your final team around, you should first recruit some characters just to recruit others and unlock other places. First off... there are some NPCs that might unlock other locations just by talking to them, like.. near the fountain in front of the castle in Crystal City, I recall some NPC talking about the desert there, but I forget if that unlocks it for you. Then there's the various ports. Like... Yeoville. You could pick a ship from there to ... North Estamir... Bruelle... that would expand your options. In the temple of Mirsa in crystal city, there's Gallahad. I hate the guy, but he has good armor on him. Could be helpful to nab it. Ok, so I advise to go from place to place. you may find other characters there. These are some that could be beneficial to you, with the locations where they reside. Jamil - Altours, Yeoville, Tarmitta, Bruelle Hawke - Uso Barbara - Northpoint, Uso, Crystal City, Altours, North Estamir, South Estamir, Tarmitta, Weston As you can see, Barbara is hard to track, as has a long route and can be in many possible locations, but once you get her, half the world is yours, plus she carries the Amethyst, which is an item you need to nab. And as for the team members that you actually want: Claudia & Gray - Melvir, Aurefont, Altours Guella-Ha - Northpoint Aisha - South Estamir, Tarmitta, Weston

+Wig A Lee Kind of tough to come up with a strategy here... How much gold do you have? How many jewels do you have? What are the class levels of all your characters? How much HP does everybody have?

*Sigh* there are hundreds of techniques/spells. I cannot give you lists for everything!!! However, here's a few techniques that can have an easier time with combos: Rocket Spear (Martial Arts) Cutting Lunge (many swords) These 2 techniques can easily get a Surge or Reverse, where combos will be really easy.
I have a very important question to ask you this I was switching one of my characters class at a mentor and I happen to unlock a bunch of individual skills I can now for some unknown reason train in individuals skills is that a good thing
Individual skills unlock after reaching class level 3 with any character. This is actually really useful, but.... be careful. Leveling skills costs depend on the level: 1: 10 2: 25 3: 125 4: 750 5: 1500 And remember that a class consists from 3 skills (best case) to 7 skills (worst case). So you need to multiply that by the number of them. HOWEVER if you learned skills all at once via mentor, then you get a discount, so... it is cheaper to save up the jewels, to learn 3-5 skills from a mentor at once, than if you were to learn them all individually one by one. Given these prices, on your first playthrough, you can only really expect to reach class level 3. It's really difficult to reach class level 4 at that point, and ... perhaps even reaching level 4 in a class could be too much. When it comes to individual skills, I most often only use that to get 1 or 2 levels in a specific proficiency... it is useful in the long run, but not a great option if you are uncertain. Jewels are really valuable
+Wig A Lee It DEPENDS, most dungeons can be re-visited.However a vast majority of chests doesn't have extremely useful items. This however isn't a bad idea, and when it comes to them, I think you should have a decent Search (Find Chests) and Strategy (Disarm Traps, Pick Locks) for it to work. Just give it a try
Ok here are the classes I made my characters into Albert is a Craftsman Aisha is a Rosalian Mage Claudia is a Kjar Sentinel and Gray I intend to make him a Martial arts class.
+Wig A Lee Ok, these sound like a solid setup -Albert has Cosmology -Aisha has Hydrology And as for fighting... I would perhaps advise Albert to switch to Imperial Knight (Melvir, Loban or Bruelle) or Castle Knight (Mirsaburg, Eugenstadt). Craftsman is useful if you are wielding weapons not supported by your class, but I don't feel like it's that great in the long-run. As for Guella Ha, or just your 5th, I'd say you could go for Imperial Marine (Melvir, Bruelle) or Castle Knight, if Albert isn't one. It depends what sounds more fitting to your characters. Those 2 imperial classes are good for combos, while castle knight is defensive. Hope that clears stuff up, at least a bit. BTW, I updated the RSMS section of the SaGa wiki. Hopefully it'll make reaching characters easier from now on.
Something I found funny is that in the original SNES version, Dowd never asks to stay in Estamir until you recruit Barbara, so if you're like me and only recruited Barbara at the end of the game to do all the extra stuff at the New Road and the Steppes of Galessa (I love Barbara though), Dowd will only then ask to stay in Estamir if you come to the then useless South Estamir pub. Like, bruh, we killed Death himself, we have killed vampires, we became honorary knights and shit, we've left Estamir more times than I can count, but now you "don't wanna leave"? Come on now.

+Wig A Lee Oh dear.... Well I don't see that much stuff that would be an absolute must... I guess Cosmology is sold there, but ... you know what, from what I see, there is one very useful thing there. The inn has the "Deluxe Room" option, which..... yes, it's a bit pricey for just a stay at an inn, but it does add 10 charges to your first aid kit, so if you said you kept running out in Valhalland, it could be useful to have like 30 charges with it.

+Wig A Lee Ok, here's a few options. I'll start with the options that are easiest to apply. 1) Sif has a bow. Give that bow to the Minstrel. Unlike Sif, he has a skill in it. Go to the Positions menu and adjust the positions for everyone so that their speed/quickness with a specific weapon is the highest! In the fight keep having these characters use their quickest weapons, and attack 1 of the small peggies. They have very few HP, try to kill them off first, all the small ones. With the increased speed, you could potentially do it before getting a hit! Potentially consider having Albert use normal attacks, and after gathering enough BP using his Sunray attack, although that might not be the best move, hmmm. IF THAT DOESN'T WORK: 2) Valhalland offers a few cheap armor pieces in the stores. They're not great, but if you're having big trouble, it will be worth the money. Fur Vests Leather Boots These are cheap but effective. Remember to compare it with the equipment that your characters wear, perhaps it'd help the defenses. WARNING: Minstrel and Valhalland Warrior are characters meant for you to keep, so some of their equipment is locked, so be careful!!!! 3) There are 2 interesting classes that Albert could easily learn here. Swordsman and Entertainer. Swordsman would increase the damage dealt by him, and Entertainer would decrease the chance that the enemy will form a combo. Swordsman is overall a much better class, but I'm not sure if the % increase of damage would have a lot of effect here, and maybe the peggies form combos and preventing that would be beneficial. UP TO YOU! I'm only suggesting these, cause Albert wouldn't need that many jewels to get these, plus he could return to his older class soon enough after these quests once more locations unlock. THAT'S IT! I have to warn you that once you return to Gato's village, you should remove all equipment possible from the Valhalland Warrior and the Minstrel. True, you'll likely keep them for a while, but -The Minstrel leaves the party as soon as you enter a location where he normally resides. True, you can get him back, but it's a hassle. -Once the Valhalland Warrior disbands, he never comes back, so unless you have trouble, never give him stuff. I will likely have to help you with other stuff later, but we'll get to that in time, heh.

It was 4 am! I would not respond!!! If you were giving it a try, you should not immidiately write to me for help! As it was shown today: you can figure this stuff on your own much more quickly than if you were to wait for me to arrive and write a response! Also, whenever you send a bunch of messages, I seem to only get to see a fraction of them on this video. I do see them all in my mailbox, but I always see only a fragment of them in there. +Wig A Lee Well, "Wuhan's Secret" in South/North Estamir is pretty easy and short. As for upgrading your Search level, I'd say you could either raise someone's RANGER (Melvir, Loban or Tarmitta) or THIEF (South Estamir) level.
If I understand this right, none of your characters has a class level of 3. This is good. Only get to class level 3 once you are absolutely certain that this works for you and want to keep it. Level 3 is quite expensive, and likely the last thing you'll manage to get before the game ends. Although, if you do get certain, you could go for it.
If I give Albert the moonbeam spell will I still be able to use the tactic that you mention to me do you know if any of the caves in the shiverlands offer anything that I might be able sell to make a little more money
+Wig A Lee Ok, Moonbeam is a useful spell, especially if you keep Albert for Cosmology, HOWEVER, it has a higher BP cost than Sunray, so if you can't use Sunray efficiently... well, you likely won't get to use Moonbeam, hence my doubts if it's something to get right now.
Classes are a tough call here. Imperial Knight can be learned in Loban, but I have some doubts if 120 jewels would be enough to get that class to level 2. So maybe it'd be best to level Swordsman, or ...... wait, DEFINITELY level Craftsman level 2. Not sure you'll use it, but that'll get your Cosmology level to 2, which shall decrease the BP cost of that Sunray spell.
As for equipment... The Crystal Cartel in Loban does sell "Metal Greaves". It is quite an expensive piece, but with 10 defense, it'd do wonders for Albert's survivability. In the same store, you'd also get "Steel Gauntlets", which have a LOT of defense too. This would leave you with only around 500 gold, but that still leaves you enough, for when you get to Gato's village: in "Valhalland General Store" they sell Pelts. Maybe it's inferior to your current armor, but if not, buy it!
Valhalland Outfiters also says cheap caps. Again: if it's better than what you have now, buy it!
So... I think that's a good use for your funds and jewels, BUT REMEMBER, consider getting those extra First-Aid-Kit charges in Loban, it might be helpful!
Also emmm.... make multiple back-up saves. I wouldn't want you to have to re-do the whole game just because of some bad choices.

ok, the Demon scout is tough. Albert deals the least damage, so it'd probably be best to give not only the First aid kit to him, but also all the balms that the other characters have. Also, in the Position menu, put him in the last row, so he gets a defense boost.
Have the soldiers and Diana attack, use Sonic Blade with Diana! As for Albert: keep defending and focus on healing. Something like that might work

There's 2 ways. One involves the unlocking ofthe Steppes of Gallessa, Uso, Northpoint, and then using the harbor to reach Walon Isle, there you go from this one village to the one on the other side of the island (just 1 screen to reach it), where you take the ship to Melvir.
The second way involves the continental approach. First you reach Bruelle, there, near the water, but not quite in the harbor, you will find a woman, who'll tell you about Beaure Plateau. I can't remember if this unlock Aurefont or not, but even if not, you can run through the Plateau to the other side where you'll find the city of Aurefont, which is where you may find Claudia/Gray,. And from there.... I forget. I cannot remember which NPCs unlock new cities, while I bet someone in Bruelle or Aurefont would mention the capital or Loban...... sorry, I should perhaps try and make some guide regarding that to help people.

+Wig A Lee Money is hard to come by. It's pretty much impossible to collect it via grinding, as most monsters do not drop money. What I do mostly is ... sell junk that I don't need in stores. Plus there are quests which reward you with money, and that's a quick source. Saving them up is a good idea too.

It all depends on:
-the character's weapon skill level
-the monster's spark rate (generally, the stronger it is, the better it gets)
-and the attack being used
If you want to learn a specific technique, you need to use a specific one as well. However, the basic attacks truly have the most broad spectrum of techniques to spark. Although there's techniques with broad spectrum of techniques to get. There's actually a FAQ for these, although it's just for level 4 and 5 ones, but ... you might spark 1 or 2 rank 4 techniques possibly

As for the questions: Event Rank increases only when you re-enter a city. So even if you skip past the max ER for a quest while exploring, it should not matter, as long as the quest concludes inside of that very dungeon with a cutscene, and in the case of the inkeeper's daughter, that is certainly the case, so chill, just beat the quest.

I have managed to get to Crystal city I went ahead and try to unlock some of the locations in the game I am having a major problem with trying to recruit the characters I want on my team how do I go about finding the other characters that iwant on my team I only manage to find and recruit one of the characters that I am going to want on my team.
+Wig A Lee Recruiting all characters... you forgot to mention what characters you want. Good thing I found your old comment. Ok, while you do want your final team around, you should first recruit some characters just to recruit others and unlock other places.
First off... there are some NPCs that might unlock other locations just by talking to them, like.. near the fountain in front of the castle in Crystal City, I recall some NPC talking about the desert there, but I forget if that unlocks it for you.
Then there's the various ports. Like... Yeoville. You could pick a ship from there to ... North Estamir... Bruelle... that would expand your options.
In the temple of Mirsa in crystal city, there's Gallahad. I hate the guy, but he has good armor on him. Could be helpful to nab it.
Ok, so I advise to go from place to place. you may find other characters there. These are some that could be beneficial to you, with the locations where they reside.
Jamil - Altours, Yeoville, Tarmitta, Bruelle
Hawke - Uso
Barbara - Northpoint, Uso, Crystal City, Altours, North Estamir, South Estamir, Tarmitta, Weston
As you can see, Barbara is hard to track, as has a long route and can be in many possible locations, but once you get her, half the world is yours, plus she carries the Amethyst, which is an item you need to nab.
And as for the team members that you actually want:
Claudia & Gray - Melvir, Aurefont, Altours
Guella-Ha - Northpoint
Aisha - South Estamir, Tarmitta, Weston

this time my question is about performing combatants attack are there any attacks that you can think of that I might be able to make combinations with?
*Sigh* there are hundreds of techniques/spells. I cannot give you lists for everything!!! However, here's a few techniques that can have an easier time with combos:
Rocket Spear (Martial Arts)
Cutting Lunge (many swords)
These 2 techniques can easily get a Surge or Reverse, where combos will be really easy.
I have a very important question to ask you this I was switching one of my characters class at a mentor and I happen to unlock a bunch of individual skills I can now for some unknown reason train in individuals skills is that a good thing
Individual skills unlock after reaching class level 3 with any character. This is actually really useful, but.... be careful.
Leveling skills costs depend on the level:
1: 10
2: 25
3: 125
4: 750
5: 1500
And remember that a class consists from 3 skills (best case) to 7 skills (worst case). So you need to multiply that by the number of them. HOWEVER if you learned skills all at once via mentor, then you get a discount, so... it is cheaper to save up the jewels, to learn 3-5 skills from a mentor at once, than if you were to learn them all individually one by one.
Given these prices, on your first playthrough, you can only really expect to reach class level 3. It's really difficult to reach class level 4 at that point, and ... perhaps even reaching level 4 in a class could be too much.
When it comes to individual skills, I most often only use that to get 1 or 2 levels in a specific proficiency... it is useful in the long run, but not a great option if you are uncertain. Jewels are really valuable
Question time my question this time is can I go back to previous dungeons and if I do if I have find chests will I be able to find some useful loot.
+Wig A Lee It DEPENDS, most dungeons can be re-visited.However a vast majority of chests doesn't have extremely useful items. This however isn't a bad idea, and when it comes to them, I think you should have a decent Search (Find Chests) and Strategy (Disarm Traps, Pick Locks) for it to work. Just give it a try
Ok here are the classes I made my characters into Albert is a Craftsman Aisha is a Rosalian Mage Claudia is a Kjar Sentinel and Gray I intend to make him a Martial arts class.

-Albert has Cosmology
-Aisha has Hydrology
And as for fighting... I would perhaps advise Albert to switch to Imperial Knight (Melvir, Loban or Bruelle) or Castle Knight (Mirsaburg, Eugenstadt). Craftsman is useful if you are wielding weapons not supported by your class, but I don't feel like it's that great in the long-run.
As for Guella Ha, or just your 5th, I'd say you could go for Imperial Marine (Melvir, Bruelle) or Castle Knight, if Albert isn't one. It depends what sounds more fitting to your characters.
Those 2 imperial classes are good for combos, while castle knight is defensive. Hope that clears stuff up, at least a bit.
BTW, I updated the RSMS section of the SaGa wiki. Hopefully it'll make reaching characters easier from now on.
Something I found funny is that in the original SNES version, Dowd never asks to stay in Estamir until you recruit Barbara, so if you're like me and only recruited Barbara at the end of the game to do all the extra stuff at the New Road and the Steppes of Galessa (I love Barbara though), Dowd will only then ask to stay in Estamir if you come to the then useless South Estamir pub. Like, bruh, we killed Death himself, we have killed vampires, we became honorary knights and shit, we've left Estamir more times than I can count, but now you "don't wanna leave"? Come on now.

+Wig A Lee that highly depends on a lot of factors. I think it'd be best if you list all your characters, and their respective classes (for the ones you chose already), based on that I'll say which classes would best suit the remaining characters.
I managed to defeat the demon scout I just arrived in Loban will Albert I have about two-thousand in gold and one hundred and twenty jewels should I give Albert a new class or wait until I arrive in Vallhalland and make him an entertainer please help me with this question
+Wig A Lee Oh dear.... Well I don't see that much stuff that would be an absolute must... I guess Cosmology is sold there, but ... you know what, from what I see, there is one very useful thing there.
The inn has the "Deluxe Room" option, which..... yes, it's a bit pricey for just a stay at an inn, but it does add 10 charges to your first aid kit, so if you said you kept running out in Valhalland, it could be useful to have like 30 charges with it.

Ok, here's a few options. I'll start with the options that are easiest to apply.
1) Sif has a bow. Give that bow to the Minstrel. Unlike Sif, he has a skill in it.
Go to the Positions menu and adjust the positions for everyone so that their speed/quickness with a specific weapon is the highest! In the fight keep having these characters use their quickest weapons, and attack 1 of the small peggies. They have very few HP, try to kill them off first, all the small ones. With the increased speed, you could potentially do it before getting a hit! Potentially consider having Albert use normal attacks, and after gathering enough BP using his Sunray attack, although that might not be the best move, hmmm.
IF THAT DOESN'T WORK:
2) Valhalland offers a few cheap armor pieces in the stores. They're not great, but if you're having big trouble, it will be worth the money.
Fur Vests
Leather Boots
These are cheap but effective. Remember to compare it with the equipment that your characters wear, perhaps it'd help the defenses.
WARNING: Minstrel and Valhalland Warrior are characters meant for you to keep, so some of their equipment is locked, so be careful!!!!
3) There are 2 interesting classes that Albert could easily learn here. Swordsman and Entertainer.
Swordsman would increase the damage dealt by him, and Entertainer would decrease the chance that the enemy will form a combo.
Swordsman is overall a much better class, but I'm not sure if the % increase of damage would have a lot of effect here, and maybe the peggies form combos and preventing that would be beneficial. UP TO YOU! I'm only suggesting these, cause Albert wouldn't need that many jewels to get these, plus he could return to his older class soon enough after these quests once more locations unlock.
THAT'S IT!
I have to warn you that once you return to Gato's village, you should remove all equipment possible from the Valhalland Warrior and the Minstrel. True, you'll likely keep them for a while, but
-The Minstrel leaves the party as soon as you enter a location where he normally resides. True, you can get him back, but it's a hassle.
-Once the Valhalland Warrior disbands, he never comes back, so unless you have trouble, never give him stuff.
I will likely have to help you with other stuff later, but we'll get to that in time, heh.

Instead of attempting to figure something on your own, or looking up an online guide, you asked a question, then a few minutes later, you wrote that you completed that goal, asked for the next thing, followed by another message, and so forth... It was 4 am! I would not respond!!! If you were giving it a try, you should not immidiately write to me for help! As it was shown today: you can figure this stuff on your own much more quickly than if you were to wait for me to arrive and write a response!
Also, whenever you send a bunch of messages, I seem to only get to see a fraction of them on this video. I do see them all in my mailbox, but I always see only a fragment of them in there.
