your game of thrones video was my first time seeing your channel. love your aesthetic and your video/vlog style, it’s really fun and i like it a lot. also,we have a lot in common when it comes to games, books, pokemon, anime, etc. anyways, wish you luck and can’t wait to see more :)
Thank you so much for the support, it really means a lot! I’m working on a bunch of new projects and videos so I’m super excited to see what you think of them!
Blake crouch was the first author where I read a single book in a day. It’s really just short and snappy writing that’s digestible, so for someone who wants to get into reading I think it’s literally perfect.
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your comment and I’m so happy you liked the videos. Currently working hard on a few new videos so expect those soon!
Had the exact same reading journey as you! I fell out of love with reading and during covid binged through Blakes books as they are so snappy and digestible. I always recommend him to new readers as they are always gripping and easy to follow. Great video!
I recently got back into reading this year after not doing it for years. It is so incredibly rewarding to finish a book! I’ve read a total of 10 this year, dark matter being one of them, and it was such a wild ride. I also recently picked up the first two game of thrones books and can’t wait to dive into them! love your channel man, such great vibes
Hi, new viewer here! I really liked the phrase you brought up early into the video: "any reading is good reading" especially when some readers these days look down/judge other readers because of the materials they consume. My Literary Criticism professor advised us to read whatever we want, it doesn't have to be a full novel or a book; grocery receipts, the nutritional facts of a product, anything. As long as you are reading. With that, I also believe that information literacy is still of necessity. Not everything we read is good or morally correct. Therefore whenever I read, I always keep in mind to take what is good and leave behind what is bad. I enjoyed the video! ❤
I just read dark matter in one day, I haven't read a book in years! Afterward, I looked at the show and was surprised at how bad it was. They completely disregarded so many good portions.
Your editing style is refreshing when compared to other book reviewers on TH-cam. In fact, you’ve inspired me to read on my front porch this evening. One question: Why did you blur your legs while sitting on the floor? Bad case of hobbit feet???
No I just didn’t want to give them away for free. ;) In all seriousness, I really appreciate your comment on my editing style. I have been workshopping how I edit recently and I’m glad it’s paying off. 😁
I recently found your channel and the videos are really amazing. Since you read books i have a great book recommendation for you which also got me back into reading. The Drift by C.J Tudor. Its a great book !
If you like the element of alternate realities, try The Long Earth series by Terry Pratchett and Steven Baxter. In it there are an infinite number of Earths where our current Earth is the only one with humans. A device is developed that allows humans to jump to these alternate Earths and start to colonize them. A few humans can do this naturally and don't need the devices. It was so intriguing for me that I read all 4 books in a row.
I've never read anything by this author but this video just convinced me! By the way, I highly recommend "Blindness" by Saramago, is also science fiction / thriller.
hey i just found your channel and i was wondering if you rendered the video in 4:3 or if its 16:9 with black bars because you get a little squished on my crt lol and i really appreciate the 4:3 format esp for something more personal like this 👍👍
I’m glad you like the 4:3! I usually keep the video in 16:9 because I like the stylistic aesthetic of the bars made when put in 4:3 as well as most TH-cam videos are formatted in 16:9.
So happy I found your channel! The vlog style and the camera work is great I also think you have a cool vibe! How do you figure out what genres you like and do you have any recommendations?
Thank you so much! I love movies and a lot of my favorite movies are either dramas or mysteries so I definitely gravitate towards those when reading. This might sound silly but I think the best way to find out the style of writing you like is just by reading and trying out lots of different books because everyone’s taste is unique. In terms of book recommendations, my favorite books I have read so far have been Pines, Normal People and All the Pretty Horses.
Man !! I read dark matter just few days ago...i finished it off in just 2 days...i read like 200 pages a day...and i still wonder how i read it so fast ..
I really want to read Dark matter but I’ve already watched the apple + TV series. I quite enjoyed it. I’ve read books that I’ve watched the movies/tv show prior before, but I think with a thriller it’s gonna be hard to find excitement in it as I already know the plot. Do you think it is worth reading despite knowing the plot already? Might try pines first
You should definitely try pines! I’m not going to lie I didn’t finish the show. I lost interest mainly because I knew the ending. I do think if you remember the plot twist it is a little less impactful but it’s still a fun read.
you should make absolute glitch core eyerape thumbnails to distinguish yourself from the other booktubers cuz you the best 1 but y'all have the same thumbnails stg

Glad to hear you liked Dark Matter. Blake Crouch is one of my favorite authors. I have the Pines series but haven’t started it yet.
I definitely recommend it was really good. I do think the first book is the best of the series because after it you already know the mystery.
I just read dark matter in one day, I haven't read a book in years! Afterward, I looked at the show and was surprised at how bad it was. They completely disregarded so many good portions.
Wow that’s awesome!! That sucks about the show. I haven’t watched it yet but now I’m not sure if I’m going to.
Amazing content bro! I love how you edit them! You got a subscriber from me all the way in malaysia

That’s awesome!! I’m so glad to hear that!

That’s so funny! 😂 Your birthday is only a month away now so happy early birthday!
thanks brotha
Should i read the other book of that author u talked about...is it good as dark matter?? Ya pines ?
Yes it’s so good! I highly recommend it. It’s a series so he expands on the story more.
you should make absolute glitch core eyerape thumbnails to distinguish yourself from the other booktubers cuz you the best 1 but y'all have the same thumbnails stg
I can give it a try!
No. The real awnser is Jeff Kinney.
Are you a football/soccer fan?
Yes I am! I play for my college team!
Now someone's on a reading journey.
Is there anyone on TH-cam that's not on some stupid ass journey??
BLAKE'S Crouch BIBLIOGRAPHY, not discography. It's book, not music. ( in ur presentation)
