There exists a League of Extraordinary Super Sedans, and few four-doors can claim to be members. The quiet assassin of the group is, undoubtedly, the 2015 Audi S8.

This channel is underrated by a huge level.
For anyone complaining or pointing out the fact that I add the Charger Hellcat into this group... I find it crazy that you don't think a 707-horsepower sedan with Napa leather and a better infotainment system than most other cars shouldn't be part of a group like this.
A group I made up...
which means I can include any vehicles I want in it. So if that group is super sedans, guess which car deserves to be there: the Charger Hellcat.
You can't just go by the badge on the outside.
Not only that - what options does the Audi have that the Hellcat doesn't? I can see the Audi is using the OLD Dodge shifter. I doubt the Audi uses the best ZF-8speed either (ZF8HP90, the 90 means its good for 900nm of torque ((664lb-ft)) that the Dodge has.

If you are comparing a Hellcat to anything from Audi, BMW or Mercedes, you need to be on cars that are actually comparable to it.
Those would be, S6, M5 or E63 respectively. If an infotainment system and Napa leather make a car compete with those types of vehicles, the Germans would have cheaped out long ago. They know that their real customers know they get what they pay for and no one that looks at an S63 would look at a Hellcat.
You're absolutely right, it's your list... You can put any car you want in there. But if the car has to be a luxury super sedan, the you're absolutely wrong. Putting Nappa leather in a Charger does not make it luxurious... But is it a super sedan? Absolutely!

Dodge Hellcat! you have to be kidding right. This was about stealth supercar performance. S8 is built better, has better technology only needs 520HP to do the 0-62 in 3.5 seconds. Don't get me wrong I would have one but for very different reasons, only America can get away with this level of automotive vulgarity.
The horsepower is waaay under rated by Audi. Motor Trend dynoed the 2013 S8 at 575 hp!
I hit the lottery, there's only 2 cars I want! The Audi S8 and the Porsche 911 Turbo s convertible! Can't go wrong with niether one!

These Vehicles are primarely about luxury and comfort, for serious businessman and people that want an hiqh quality item that they can be proud of.
The Dodge ist a pretty decent car, but it really isn't a competitor for these type of cars.
Much more comparable to a mid sized car like the M5 , E63 etc..
Floeng The A8/standard 7/S550 might be about pure luxury... but the AMG/Alpina/S variants add in performance.
Also, the Charger is much bigger than the M5 and E63. It's a full-size sedan, whereas the M5 and E63 are considered mid-size (crazy, but true)
The Hooniverse the M5, E63 weigh just as much as the charger so really you could compare to either if we are going by weight.

Should of got the s8 plus, it’s such a beast at 605hp
Just picked one up in Dec'23. Had a stage 1 tune to the ecu and tcu. Getting at the crank 696 hp and 763 torque. Wheel it's 562 awhp and 615 torque.

Its not about options really.Real luxury is in quality and refinement.Even if it wasn't the Hellcat would compete against cars like M5 or S6 not the big luxury Class.I like the Hellcat though.No hater here.

To those saying the charger hellcat not in this class, could they please inform in which class it falls in to? The most powerful and fastes sedan in the planet that gets 22 mpg, which class is there for this car if not this one?

I'm think you've helped me make my decision in purchasing a used '13, '14, or '15 S8. After watching your review my questions are 1) why make the changes you stated in the review (color match the mirrors w/ the body, take off badges, etc.)?; 2) would adding an Akrapovic exhaust be best? If so, could you recommend a shop in the DC, MD, VA area?; 3) are the wheels staggered? I am a professional and a gentleman and your description fits me perfectly: "the quiet assassin...a really finely tailored suit" @thehooniverse Awesome background music too!
+T.I. Elvis I just like a more discreet appearance, so color matching the mirrors and removing badging helps with that. I personally like the Millitek exhaust for the S8. I don't know of any shops in those areas, sorry. An Audi forum could probably point you in the right direction though. I don't believe the S8 runs a staggered setup.
@@TheHooniverse --> I've never understood why people remove badges... Makes the car look a little ghetto to me. Like they had to paint that panel and were too lazy to put the badge back on.

The Hooniverse is it possible to drag race the S8 against S65 AMG and BMW 7series the top range please cos i believe the S8 will be faster than them two . Ive seen on one video where S8 did a drag race aganst S63 and S8 won easily

And I'm ok with that. A Nissan juke nismo is fast as shit. It will never be in the super category. Neither is any hellcat version. Just a fast ass car. Just like a corvette z06 can run with a Ferrari 458. But it will never be in the same class. And I'm not making the comparison to say cars in different classes suck. They don't. I'm just saying speed isn't everything.

I do like the incognito look. I have a '97 A8 Quattro, I debadged it. I'm blacking out the rings on the grille, too. This car weighs 800lb more than it does...
You can swap a six speed manual trans into a D2 A8/S8 for around $2000. So if that's what you want, you should have that. You can get the base car under $15k, for a good one.
