    This has nothing to do with this particular video but I had to tell you, Cheri, that after seeing your short about the emerald eye look. I ordered that beautiful blackened green pencil from Victoria Beckham. I used it with a soft golden bronze eyeshadow I already had and the look was fantastic. I didn’t wing it out as much as you did and I didn’t line my inner rims (I’m 80 after all), but otherwise I followed your directions. I was thrilled with how many compliments I got on my eyes. It just goes to show, us old dogs can be taught new tricks. We might have to modify things a bit, but we can certainly give it a go.

    Thank you for demonstrating the correct way to use the ombré premiere libre powder eyeshadow…Hope other cosmetic content creators take note of this…many of them have given negative reviews on these without knowing how to use them. Why aren’t the Chanel sales associates explaining how to use these products?

    • @CHERIVOYAGE
      @CHERIVOYAGE  ปีที่แล้ว

      They used to do extensive training when I worked for the company...not sure what has changed. But, agree the sales associates/artists at the counters need to educating their customers/clients.

      @@CHERIVOYAGE I sold Chanel cosmetics for 10 years and we had extensive training either in New York or Boston. Of course this was way before online shopping and youtube, but my experiences with SA’s when calling the boutique has been disappointing. Sad commentary considering Chanel’s price point and house prestige. Content creators, like yourself, are far more knowledgeable and engaging.

    Thanks for the review! After watching several mediocre reviews, I was in store and was shown how to use these particular eyeshadows. I ended up purchasing the plumy one, and the SA showed me how a pop-of-shimmer on the lid would change and accentuate the entire look!! I actually did write a comment on one of the influencers reviews, as the review itself was more click-bait than anything else!! The only new product in a 20 minute video was the lightest shade with no depth or definition added. While this product might not be for everyone (which you are clear about), you did a fantastic job of detailing the benefits and techniques that we need to be comfortable with!! Your experience is truly valued!!

    • @SavMini

      My thoughts, too. Everyone would buy the Mac pigments and wow about them .. pigments have a historic place in makeup.. I didn’t appreciate the harsh reviews, not bc it is Chanel and I love Chanel.. but bc these influencers are clearly not informed.. like Cheri says they are not for everyone but the disdain clickbait is 🙄

    I love these loose pigment shadows for more mature eyes. I'm 43 1/2 with hooded/droopy lids and I think these create a gorgeous soft one and done across my lids. The finish of these are gorgeous. I use it both ways using the same technique (first shake then tape the lid several times before opening & removing all the way) but sometimes I will take my eyebrush and sweep it around the applicator tip to grab product and then lightly press my eyebrush onto my lid THEN blend. I go back and forth between using the product applicator or dabbing my brush against it and going in with my brush. Both ways work great with no fallout. I agree people will either love or hate but it all comes down to the learning curve aspect. But the product itself once blended onto the eyes, is STUNNING!! Great review! As always.....

    Great video! I love that Chanel was doing something different with the packaging and delivery for a single shadow, so I bought 1 in the copper shade. I dab in on the back of my hand and use my finger, or I dab a brush on the Doe foot. I definitely want to try a cool shade as well. The blushes are so pretty!! Not overly perfumed, and a lovely finish.
    I’m 44, and I’m noticing warmer shades like the loose powder in cuivre, aren’t looking as flattering as they once used to- can peoples skin become cooler as they age?!

    • @CHERIVOYAGE
      @CHERIVOYAGE  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, BUT it depends on your particular skin type, age, tone etc.
      As we age, the skin changes over time in texture, shape, density etc.
      We need to neutralize and add color back into the skin, the reason that cool colors can look better on some as they age (when before you could wear warm) is because it adds vitality/freshness/bright youthfulness back to the skin. Ill do a video on this subject soon :)

    • @celinag9968
      @celinag9968 ปีที่แล้ว

      Add a tad bit of powder and layer the lipstick on top again (lipstick, powder, lipstick). You can also add a Lipliner all over the lips, this helps the lipstick to stick to the liner.

    I like the color story a lot including the blushes-the fall look is muted, a little plum, purple, soft, a little greyed. However, I would have bought the eyeshadows as a quad not individually. I appreciate your expertise always but am disappointed it's not completely user friendly. I'm pleased to see cooler tones that compliment the warm and visa versa. Finally, but not a winner for me. In fact I have hardly bought any makeup this year, eyeshadows for example. Just not overall impressed with any.
