Yay thats my OGS game being reviewed!! maybe a year of watching basics videos has made me too passive.. I didnt hane at k5 because I felt I had done enough to make my group safe, and then went back into Corner Sides Centre matra. along with "he attached so we respond, we respond to attachments and shoulder hits" :) and "we defend our weak group first"
the ogs user game review was a nice surprise! maybe there should be a permanent section about "people trying to use basics" reviewing where they succeeded/failed would be an even more realistic chance for learning. keep up the good content batts!
The difference in your demeanor between the first and second games was very interesting. I'm assuming there was something very different about them ;-) In any case, alway happy when I get to watch a basics game. I love remembering not to be jealous of my opponent's overly early building, like in the first game. I often find myself getting into pointless (no pun intended) fights over things I should just let go because there are larger moves on the board. The OGS game was fun to watch, as someone playing with a recently taught technique uses it to win a game. Would love to see more of that kind of thing.
Are you guys hyped for the Midwest open? They're only going to stream the first board of the open division , so the games will be kind of limited. But that doesn't mean the quality will be. I wish Daniel the best in his first live streaming tournament event.
Whats the reasoning behind S7 in first game? From my kyu perspective it seems super small and if we really need to play move there S8 would be much more solid.
I'm a bit puzzled. You always say that if our opponent has an enclosure - deny the extension. But you went for the next corner (1:54). At the end you had a stone at the extension point but you could not say that before. I was hoping you would comment that during the review but you didn't. What is my mistake in thinking? Btw: I'm a DDK and learn a lot with this series. Thank you very much for the great job!

That was my game that was reviewed I linked it in the comments of a previous video as I was literrally playing with that lesson in mind.

Haha. I came down to the comments to see if anyone said this yet.
Yup, wanted to say the same thing :D
Wonder if that was on purpose
Yndostrui without a doubt. The lines didn’t really follow with what he was saying :P
Was going to say he seems to be getting a hiragana lesson in on us as well.
