    I saw a woman on a different site sew using the two needle saddle method. She assumed the viewer knew what she as doing and referencing. I was left in the clouds, dazed and confused. I googled how to... and came across your video. First of all, wow! what a pleasant voice and demeanor you have. I felt like you were my very knowledgeable grandpa patiently teaching me a family handed down trade. I felt special. Thank you for so clearly and patiently explaining what you were doing. Anyone giving this video a thumbs down is simply a troll. I don't normally work with leather, I'm a woodworker, but you have inspired me to consider how leather might be something I could incorporate into my pieces. Thank you!

    Im not interested in leather craft, but have seen this stitch used for various projects in various crafts and was always curious how it was done. Your video has explained it perfectly, in simple clear terms. My curiosity is now satisfied. Thank you.

    With the 2 needle stitch, at the end when you pass the needle to the same side as the other, then cut it off, do you need to tie a knot or anything? thank you

  • @julla1416
    @julla1416 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    You just leave the threads open after you cut them (on the two-needle stitch)?

  • @jungletrooper9252

    Does the two needle stitch not need a knot at the end?

  • @jessicamorgan2928

    How do you thread the needle and determine how much thread you should cut off the spool ?

    • @danrandolph8517
      @danrandolph8517 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You need 3 to 5 times the x-length of the stitch work - depending on how many holes per inch you have and the thickness of the leather.

    Why dont you tie the double needle stitch in a knot before cutting the tag ends off?

    • @TandyLeatherCo
      @TandyLeatherCo  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, @jamescraig8601! While it is an option to double knot your stitch line when ending, many crafters believe that backstitching, trimming and melting waxed hand stitching thread is a sufficient level of closure. We recommend you use the method that works best for you! Hope this helps and happy crafting!
