Such beautiful detail in your village really is one of the best , we devoted a full room this year to our village , forgot to video it and add it, still getting so many idea's from watching everyone's next to add Chinatown , already bought the zoo things for next year , get so much inspiration from watching these video's
+Kevin and Michelle 100 Please do put a video up. I would love to see it. You know what's funny, I have been thinking of adding a zoo myself. I saw some very detailed animals in Michael's. I have run out of room. It will be interesting to see where it extends to this year. We had my son, daughter-in-law and 2 yr old granddaughter living with us during village time and I couldn't put one up this year., but next year . . .
+Gibsonblvd Yes the room is always a problem , s you know you jut keep adding. I am still looking for a Lemax Gorilla habitat but the only 2 I have seen neither would ship to UK , have now started buying the Chinese stuff to add a Chinese village as well next year, yes having the family round , but have a separate room now just for the village at xmas time so lucky here,
I watched the whole thing and wow! It is so impressive. So much detail in every little square inch. Amazing. I love it. Almost time to take it all down and store away. Near the end I saw a little spot to sit and just take it all in. I want to have a cup of coffee and just sit there for awhile;)
Hey Kathy, Greetings from Australia . I have a bit of a crazy mind .....You could have the home of "scrooge" with the "Ghostbusters " car outside . LOL You might have even thought if this before I did lol ..... MERRY CHRISTMAS ....................Ron
I just got though with our marathon ordeal of putting the village away for this year! It was really exhausting this year because of it's size now. I have to really rethink the layout next year. I was going wishing I could spread it all out, but now I am thinking vertical might not be so bad after all. You get to see more detail.
+Pete Linster We have a two year old in the house this year which makes putting up the village impossible. I have put up a very small Snow Village over the fireplace where Christmas in the City was. I am a little disheartened because i picked up a few very interesting pieces over the last year, so next year should be a surprise. I am thinking of doing a video comparing the villages of the years, adding the never before scenes that I took when I take it down and play around with ideas for next year.
How awesome to have a little two yr old running around. That's a full time blessing. Sometimes life gets in the way of our little hobbies. I hope the New Year brings much happiness and joy.
Hi, I believe you are referring to the cars running around the track, they are part of the 1999 Lemax Christmas Village Classic Slot Car Set They appear on EBAY periodically. The cars do wear out, so I am looking for some replacements. My 2016 village should be up within the next two weeks. Kathy
Hi Kathy, I've seen just a few of your Christmas Villages, which are awesome. I've noticed that you have a few of the classic/vintage electric slot cars. I have been looking for those everywhere and have not been able to find them at all. I have inquire and to no avail. Can you please shed some light as to where I can find them online? I really would appreciate it. Await your response. Thank you kindly in advance. p.s. anyone that reads this post and can also shed some light, please let me know. Vintage/Classic of the 40's & 50's electric slot cars for Christmas Villages. My wife is really into this and she is missing the slots cars. Thank you kindly in advance.

Amazing....I love it....I really like the miniature project with the junk yard...I did the same in mine with a lil diner behind my train station that I dubbed "Whistle Stop Cafe"...added miniature plates with food on them..food prep areas...it was fun to be more hands on...What did you use for hub caps???...I knew what they were as soon as I saw them....
Thank you. I am not sure what you mean by hubcaps though. I didn't dress up any of the cars. A lot of the cars came form Woodman's Grocery Store, they are actually kids toys. They look so realistic and fit the time period. I am always on the look out for things to add to the village, doesn't matter if that wasn't there intended purpose. I am currently in the "process": of taking it down. Everything is torn up everywhere!
I just figured out the hub caps. They actually came with the piece. It is a Department 56 complete piece. I will get the exact name when I pass that box.
Gibsonblvd Dept. 56 has got to be the most versatile of all Christmas Village Companies....I would have never guessed that was a 56 piece...I thought it was something you fabricated...wow...that's an awesome piece...gave me some ideas though...I probably could find some metal buttons that looked like hub caps...LOL...anyway...yes...sigh...taking down the village and the Christmas Tree is depressing to me....But my wife is glad to get her sectional back into the Living Room...I think we may break down and buy a house with a basement...and make an all year around Christmas room or area..Leaves her furniture alone...than I can dabble all year around i it...take out sections...add knew ones...different patterns and Landscapes....Well, anyway...again...such a nice job...one of the best villages I've seen...and I've seen alot....
Bravo! Bravo! 👏📹🎼💫🏆❤👍🙏
Beautiful love
Thank you.

Wow I love this. Such great detail. Made me feel Christmassy in May lol
Good Lord that is museum quality. The cost had to be incredible, not to mention the hours!
