I was watching your video thinking to myself "this scenery looks very familiar" So I went and read your trip report. Now I now why it looks familiar. in 1992 my wife and I had a floatplane drop us off at Tuaton Lake at the very beginning of Stikine River. We had a inflatable canoe and paddled all the way down to the highway crossing. We also hiked along the railroad on the Spatsizi plateau. Good memories. Me and a friend once tried to follow the old railroad track with motorbikes to see if we could make it all the way to down to Stuart Lake but we had to turn around due to very rainy and muddy conditions. Maybe we need to try this again but with bicycles and pack rafts.
I'm an intermediate ww kayaker and rafter, and I've wanted to give this a try. My main concern is the realistic feasibility of carrying a bike on the bow of one's boat, and still being able to maneuver safely in rough water. It seems like it would be very challenging to pull that off in anything above III-/II rapids. I'm also a little alarmed at how the majority of whitewater packrafts on the market are single chambered. That just seems very vulnerable to me, having had to patch my raft and IK on expeditions in the past.
Check out Deane Parker Adventure Channel. We have worked on some adventure videos with some pretty rough water for packrafting + he is pretty open to answering questions.
Hey guys rom wild confluence, I like your videos very much. The best and most inspiring is the "listen to the river" video. next year we will do a packraft trip in the Yukon territory and we take this video as a master piece to film and cut our project. Very kind regards from Germany. Stephan
I'm getting a kokopelli hornet light packraft only weighs 5.2 lb and can carry 300 I only weigh 145 so I guess I can carry all kinds of gear I'll bring a wood stove and the kitchen sink!! LOL safe bike rafting my friend!!! 😁
8. Try packrafting and bike trips separately first.

What bag is that khaki color waterproof duffle? Looks cool...
What is the brown duffel type bag on the back of the packraft? Is it a dry bag?
Could you please let me know how long padle using?
How did you manage to keep food so light for this trip? For the trip duration your frsme bags do not look huge. Was it all panniers?
Which raft is the best to carry a bike ?
I'd look at the Alpacas.
What raft are you using? Rogue lite with TIZIP or what.
Looks like an Alpacka Raft
Очень круто , ребята , вы молодцы!
Cool
that bike alone cost a lot, :)
I thought the same thing haha. 17,000 grand and some ambition and your ready to go.
Crazy, but cool. :D
