I feel your pain, Mort. My internet SUCKS. And mine doesn't have the excuse of my being way out in the sticks. But when a company has the monopoly, hey, why worry about your customers? There's no where else to go, and if you want it, you have to put up with it.

Coyotes are far from harmless. They stalk my back fence every winter. Have to supervise the dogs like a hawk.

hey!! this doesnt have much to do with the stories themselves, but letting anyone know that Road runners can make a noise like a low, whining dog or puppy.
I use to have a road runner that would perch atop of a tree outside my bedroom window, and for a good while I had to keep going back and forth with my father trying to get him to hear the noise. later on we found it out, especially when we saw the road runner itself. there wasnt a lot of information on it so it surprised us!! but still good to know

So the story with the coyotes circling.... It's early spring, probably a pretty scarce winter for them... probably hungry and debating on eating the humans camping... Not a great time to go camping... I'd wait until the last frost at least. 🤭

That's does sound scary but a former neighbor heard mating alligators and from his description it was worse, at night and he was resting before continuing in to visit his mother in Alabama he lived in Texas at the time, and stopped somewhere in Louisiana.
