You can recondition the leather with mink oil start out by soaking it for a week pull it out and check to see if it flexable if not continue to soak until it is.save as much of the oil as you can for the next piece you find.
You would be better off opening your own mud larking museum :) either that or maybe a serious Dee clutter..lol have you considered your own online mud larking museum channel to show off your amazing finds.. that would be so cool :)
Nicola White has a friend/fellow mudlarker who preserves leather shoes. Look on her site, I watched the video. She does excellent work
