Refrigerate the dough before you do the cut outs and if they have been out and softened a bit after cutting them, put them back in the fridge to get them cold before baking them. That goes for any cookies. The dough needs to be chilled before baking them. 😊
Also pay attention to the thickness of the dough- you want the dough to be about a quarter inch thick. If it’s too thick, that may also have a negative effect on the cookies.
The sign looks really good there, it goes with all of the red in the dining room. The wreath looks great above the doorway next to the tree. ❤ HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! 🦃🍁🍽
Hey Amanda, I love seeing your videos all the time! I can't get over the before & after pictures because they're amazing! I can't wait to see more videos every week! I actually got a load of laundry folded/put away & cleaned up the kitchen from having dinner. I can't wait for tomorrow because I get to have Thanksgiving with my family and my boyfriend's family too. I already know that I will have the best Thanksgiving this year for sure. I just got a load of laundry folded/put away and cleaned up the dishes from dinner. I know that I need to get the rest of my Christmas shopping done because I only have one person done for my list. ❤❤❤
Yes I agree…well chilled dough will not spread!! Also I like the wreath above the doorway the best!! Happy Thanksgiving to you & your family!!🥰🦃. Oh I love the Merry Christmas sign!!
Hey sweet sister! I love watching your videos. When I am not motivated, they motivate me to get up and get with it. Yesterday, I was up at 6am deep cleaning and catching up on laundry. Today is more of a chill day, just one load of laundry, a little upkeep in the kitchen and then cook green bean casserole and pumpkin pie to take to my mother in law's house for Thanksgiving dinner. Friday, we will visit with my husband's grandmother and uncle for a bit and then I have to get busy packing because Saturday, we are traveling 5 hours to see my Mama!! We are super excited to see her as we haven't been able to make it back to see her since New Year's. Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! Hugs & Prayers, Becky from South Alabama.
I cut out the cookies after they are done baking real quick while really soft. Never could get the shapes to stay looking sharp doing it before baking. So I improvised 😊
When making cutouts no brown sugar and no baking soda and chill the dough before you cut out the shapes. Bake until they start turning brown on the edges and take out as to not over bake them. Happy thanksgiving 🦃🍁
Hello Amanda, Heather and I your beautiful family!! Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving!!🦃 I know this one is extra thankful, your first one with Lakely ❤Give Flashie a 💋
Everything looks so pretty 🎄! The only thing that I have learned with cut out sugar cookies is the dough has to chill for a few hours. And the thickness and texture has a lot to do with how they say together. Some time when you roll them out use a tiny bit of flour. I hope that helps a little. Your cookies looked delicious. God bless and have an amazing thanksgiving…..🍁🦃🍁
I use margerine in my cut out cookies, not butter. I refrigerate the dough for about an hour. I roll mine out using flour on my countertop. Btw, i bought that High Maintenance detergent and I LOVE IT!!! TFS Happy Thanksgiving!!!! ❤❤❤❤
Using a recipe for cut out cookies and chilling your dough for at least 30 mins. Will help prevent that dough from spreading. Love the red sign, i went with the rustic tin one a few years ago. It just adds to the decorations.
Try cutting out your cookies into your desired shapes then put them in the fridge for half an hour so the dough can firm up a bit. The shortening is probably what is causing them to spread.
For sugar cookies not to spread you use 1 cup of cold butter cut up, 1 cup of sugar, 1 egg, 1 teaspoon of vanilla, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 3 1/2 cups of flour roll out and cut shapes then place shapes into refrigerator for 15 minutes then bake for 10 minutes or until the edges are light brown.
Pray that you and your family have a Blessed Thanksgiving 🦃🦃🦃🦌🦌🦌 God Bless ❤❤❤ Yeah Lakely crawling🥳🥳🥳 wow she is growing up so fast 😊😊😊 you are definitely Blessed with a Beautiful family 🧸👼🎄🎅🤶🧑🏻🎄☃️⛄️🎁🦃🦌🤍💛🧡💙💚🤎

Amanda don’t feel bad of your oven drawer, I also haven’t cleaned it, so I will be doing that too. Thank you for reminding me. ❤😊
Hey Kennedy ❤❤ Hope you are healing well.

Make sure your dough is cold when your done cutting them put the tray back in the fridge. Get them cold then bake em you'll get less spreading

Chill dough before
When you make sugar cookies if you make a single batch add the sour cream if you make a double batch then you add two cups put sour cream
Cut the cookies out then refrigerate them for about 15-20 minutes, then bake them!😀
👍🏼🥰
After you cut out you cookies put the trays in the fridge for awhile.
Maybe freeze them for a little while after they are cut out?
Pray that you and your family have a Blessed Thanksgiving 🦃🦃🦃🦌🦌🦌 God Bless ❤❤❤ Yeah Lakely crawling🥳🥳🥳 wow she is growing up so fast 😊😊😊 you are definitely Blessed with a Beautiful family 🧸👼🎄🎅🤶🧑🏻🎄☃️⛄️🎁🦃🦌🤍💛🧡💙💚🤎
I use stick butter.
Wrap with comics.
Oh, I put a towel in the bottom of the draw of the oven.
Cookies either spread because too much fat in recipe or they were not chilled for long enough.
Im scared to pull my drawer out now
Hi, how are you doing? Wanted to say hi and everyone say hi to you best friend Heather you have a good holidays and Thanksgiving too. Have a good day my lovers.
I think the kitchen would have looked good.
