“Low power level” Tera fire choice specs tuohlosion, Tera normal bloodmoon…… when you remove defensive pieces, new offensive ones take their place. Nothing has changed, pokemon will always be pokemon
@@sxewhiltrue they're strong but they lack speed and bulk so they're much more managable. h typhlosion would be insane if not for hydreigon, incineroar, h samurott and some other mons though
Not having legends or paradox Pokemon has made these competitions a lot more interesting though when the legends & paradox Pokemon come back don't expect these lesser used Pokemon to come back
3:05 "Im not surprised it took a world champion for something this crazy".... there was WeedleTwineedle back in Jan 2023 with a similar idea but with a Jolteon and Pin Missile. They version was for more casual play but Paul's version is def for more competitive use but the idea is still there.
Banning the overpowered Pokemon was the best thing to happen to viewers of competitive Pokemon. It's so refreshing to see other, underused Pokemon getting a moment to shine. I'd be completely okay if this were the permanent ruleset
From the colour of the pixels it's looking like your team was: garchomp, talonflame, sneasler (the only one I'm uncertain on), hydreigon, gholdengo, and primarina
Honestly, I'm surprised that Dudunsparce didn't run Roost. It has tons of set-up, & potentially good bulk. Healing could go far there, no? I guess it's too expolsively offensively leaning in a format with short battles to value bulk. Anyway, fun topic! Thanks for uploading!
My team was a bit basic Kommo-o Tera Fire, Soundproof holding throat spray Rillaboom Tera Poison, GT, holding assault vest Sneasler Tera Flying, Unburdened holding grassy seed Porygon-Z Tera Ghost, Adaptability, holding Choice Specs Whimsicott Tera Rock, Prankster Holding Covert Cloak Weezing Tera Ghost, Neutralizing Gas, Holding Sitrus Berry. Nothing weird, but got results. Used it both on the rank battles and this team got be on both versions SV to master ball tier.
Most fun regulation I’ve participated in! I was messing around with a Light feet/Flame orb Jolteon running Charm-Eerie Impulse-Protect-Electroball and had lots of fun against all the unsuspecting opponents I faced 😂 out speeding dragapults and dropping an archaludons SPA TWO STAGES right before they they fire an electro shot to only raise their SPA to -1 was extremely satisfying
Regulation H is the most interesting doubles format I've ever seen. Turns out, when you get rid of all the overcentralizing legendaries and paradoxes you've seen a thousand times, things tend to get more interesting. The teams in this new format are NUTS. I've NEVER seen this level of creativity in VGC before! Hopefully, this continues on for a long while, because high levels of versatility in teams and the innovation of cool battle strategies is what Pokemon battling is all about.
Ive been having fun with a Choiceband Rampardos Tailwind Team. So for me this format is a W. Not like there hasnt been odd poke pics in the Legendary Formats though, its usually just a lot lighter due to "Big Numbers"
I think the reason why is because these Pokemon are 'finally' having a chance to thrive, to show they can do things for people that other pokemon can or 'can't', and blend a few strategies into a weird mixing pot that only 'they' can perform Like yea, we get it armarouge can go for psyspam and heat wave, but can it fight in TR? yes but not as good as exeggutor and still hit just as hard, maybe its not hatterene but it has a similar power level, 'with' utility options like sleep powder, that isn't what hatterene 'or' armarouge can do, it blends the speed and utility of liligant, with the power of armarouge for psyspam 'and' has the trick room potential of hatterene. When you remove all of the 'obvious' picks like your urshifus to counter intimidates, why bother with defiant mons when you can just perma crit everything, when you remove the obvious power level of high stats 'and' good typings, aka flutter mane, these pokemon can now strut their stuff and show they be just as viable in the right setting! I for one am LOVING this regulation, i've never seen so much potential and finding hidden gem pokemon be able to fight is something wonderful~!
Is this format great BECAUSE so many different Pokémon have risen to new heights? Or Is this format awful because this format has allowed too many Pokémon to find a niche role making team building all the more difficult?
@@mathwiz3145 It’s the second one. Idk how people can say restricted formats are matchup roulette when you have 5 other mons to patch up your weak restricted MUs, but this is somehow not matchup roulette when there’s like 30+ viable team comps
@@sxewhil so, more Pokémon being competitive viable is a bad thing?…. Personally, I like the creative side. I want to see more things enter the meta, cause more chaos. I like to see people be creative with the power levels reduce to allow for creativity

Love this Regulation as it really diversifies all of the player's team building skills
the lack of spammed legendaries is so refreshing
This what I'd hoped competitive Pokémon would be when I first heard of it.
forcing Pokémon trainers to play out of their comfort zone, makes them make the team charts as uncomfortable to see as possible
10:02 common singles Gliscor seems like a weird set in doubles.
Ain't no way big stall is trying to infiltrate VGC again

Sneasler and Ursaluna were seen in the video but sure
It’s nice to see in competitive that people are now using Pokémon that weren’t getting competitive ever if not very rarely
All some Pokemon have to do is do at least one thing really well to be considered by great players!

Imma be real, this exact dudunsparce set was in a wolvie video when scarlet and violet went out on the video where he plays every new mon
Poliwrath definitely needs an Attack buff, but it’s been successful before so don’t rule it out entirely.
0:40 whoever named their torkoal after a primus song is the goat
its better than seeing the same 10 pokemon over and over again
as a spectator if i see jumpluff or Blazakin im all in!
I still think that even thought it didn't made day 2, the Avalugg, Tentacruel, Krookodile team was the weirdest we ever got
reg H has got to be one of the best of all time.
Great video! It’s cool to see all the unique teams highlighted. 🥚😎👍
From the colour of the pixels it's looking like your team was: garchomp, talonflame, sneasler (the only one I'm uncertain on), hydreigon, gholdengo, and primarina
The moves look like:
Chomp: stomping tantrum, dragon claw protect and rock slide
T-flame: brave bird, tailwind, taunt, will-o-wisp
Sneas: dire claw, close combat, protect, fake out
Dreigon: protect, snarl, draco meteor, dark pulse
Dengo: make it rain, shadow ball, thunderbolt, trick
Prim: hyper voice, moonblast, protect, haze

I remember seeing that Dudunsparce set ran in a WeedleTwinNeedle Video from like, the start of Scarlet and Violet.
Thx for the Mention and Great Video. (Also for the team I shoud shout-out my friend Victor Xie who came up with the concept it)
My team was a bit basic
Kommo-o Tera Fire, Soundproof holding throat spray
Rillaboom Tera Poison, GT, holding assault vest
Sneasler Tera Flying, Unburdened
holding grassy seed
Porygon-Z Tera Ghost, Adaptability, holding Choice Specs
Whimsicott Tera Rock, Prankster
Holding Covert Cloak
Weezing Tera Ghost, Neutralizing Gas, Holding Sitrus Berry.
