I moved my base to the same spot cause you made a good point, its also in the 4x Farm/Bush/Tree area. I made the mistake of going overboard with planting stuff lol. But Tree farm is such a god send, so much freakin Sap for Plastic/Rubber/Tape lol ... Now i just need to set up the Oil farm for fuel.
That's it really; I wont need that much food output, but never running out of the sap and branches is an awesome feature. I am looking into setting up remote autonomous bases for fuel and ore.
Amazing episode. It's like repainting your living room while The Walking Dead is on the tv rofl. What I mean is you didnt have to do anything but paint the walls. Awesome episode. The base and work space looks incredible
Nice to see the new base in action mate! Must’ve been a bit stressful at the start, not knowing if the pathing would work lol Really looking forward to the next installment!
I am seeing value to focusing on one game at a time :) I may do a 5 day a week 7 days to die series, then after that is done focus on a completely new game, then back to 7 days after that. Will help keep me fresh and interested in the games I am playing.
@@Genosis exactly no matter what you do or where or how you build , it’s always gonna be different , especially when you tweak the difficulty, though I am gonna build at the airport again , I’m gonna try , a 2 or 3 wide runway and try out the rail gun , even if it is expensive Also , if you want more compact storage , use a half beam on the wall , and put a half floor down and you can get 4 in very easily Unique Bow - Rage Remover is headshot damage 20-200% in the E.Grassland/Desert - had it drop from all 3 bosses
It took me a min but I think I'm getting the hang of it it's a bit of a learning curve coming from 7days it's better than scum it needs a bit more polish it would be nice to be able to have the hoard/wave come every few days instead of every night if I could set that in the game settings rather than on or off I took the hoard off and went exploring but it got to boring so I turned it back on and lowered the difficulty a bit I think I found a balance between action and exploration for a newb to the game
That's the interesting thing is that by "default" the days last 4 hours, so.. you'd have 4 hours of gameplay between hordes roughly (give or take how long the horde lasts). So, 7 days to die by default has nearly 7 hours of play between hordes. You could toggle on/off and shorten the days, or just play on max day length. That's why I opted for 3 hour long days and splitting the episodes in < 90 min segments. I have an explore day and a horde day. Seems to work well enough content wise
@@Genosis for content is great but for my personal game play 4 hrs fly by lol I go out to the city to buy some book's and return 2 min before horde with my inventory and the bike full off stuff and I wonder what happened
Will the rocket launcher hit your traps? It may be smart to build up the center over the pulser and rebuild the rocket launcher on top. That way, it can fire 360 degrees without obstruction.
This is going to be a very specific question but how viable is a City of the Future design in this game? 7DtD lets you paint blocks any color you wanted even though their design templates were pre-aged no matter what color you choose. I may buy this in the future to try my hand at megabuilds and one of my favorite things is stack building. Are there enough shapes to do that or is 7DtD still king of block variety? I would prefer this game and its cleaner design.
Stack building, as it multiple floors? Absolutely. There isn't a massive choice of shapes, but you can overlay many shapes to get the effect you may be looking for. I saw a picture of someone building a massive warship on top of their little boat. It looked insane.
@Genosis I don't know the exact word for it but like buildings on top of buildings. Or having a lot of buildings condensed into a small area. All I can think of is stack building.A game I played along time ago Jet Set Radio did this. You could see where they just jammed a bunch of buildings of different shapes and sizes into limited space but you could kind of navigate between them. I know it was because of hardware limitations but the design philosophy kinda stuck with me. I like seeing lots of building packed together with some being used and some being place fillers to give the illusion of a massive city complex.
careful creating a space the zombies can't escape. They can glitch through the railings. but seeing as this is a old video you probably have had it happen.
Well that was easy 😂 Instead of spending 7 days preparing for a horde, you just do housekeeping while the base takes care of it. Unlike in 7 days to die, AFK bases suit this game.
interestingly enough, that's kind of the intention. Unlike 7 days, having 100 zombies running at you doesn't melt the computer, but it does pose a problem.. you can't face them on your own lol. And you can totally have AFK bases in 7 days to die, but people prefer grinding XP. If I had setup 10 blade traps, 4 turrets, 2 sledge turrets knocking zombies off, and dart traps at every corner, you would see very few zombies meet you at your base. It just takes more effort because 7 days traps are much more ineffective.
Very compact! I love how the plasma shocker has so many points of contact with your horde! Nicely done!
Thanks! And yeah, it really maximizes exposure to the shocker, every single zombie gets a zap.

She has the best comments!

I reviewed the footage when I first set it up, they definitely would have hopped that fence if I didnt double it up lol
Loving the max night of the dead content gen your spoiling us

Zappy base is good. Looks like a good core for a while to come :D
Yep, just gotta keep adding to it!
Electro-Vortex base sucessful! Nice.
I call it the bug zapper!
Very unique base design for sure
I just lost my recent playthrough at 35days , time to start over in time for the new update
That's the great thing about this game is it is easily replayable. Different drops, try out new locations, different bases, play on a server, etc.

Yea, I don’t bother with electrical lighting. Those fire lamps work great. Now if they took constant refilling of sticks my tune would change.
Shh don't say that too loudly lol; though it would be a simple matter to add a couple more wind turbines and easily power lights 24/7
Nice

Beautifull base ❤
Thanks! One of those great times when something new works out how you wanted it to
This series is great, pretty sure that Night of the Dead is my next game after I finish Marvel's Midnight Suns
Nice, hope you enjoy it as much as I have!

It won't fire if line of sight is broken, but yeah that's not a great placement overall if it gets too close

Day 58 on my server, and I havent seen a single giant on horde night.
Hmm may want to check the server difficulty settings!
👍👍
