I had a great time creating this dress for you guys and I've been wearing all day because its so comfortable. Here are a few things to take note of if you will be recreating this project - I used about a metre of stretch velvet fabric to sew this dress - Please work with your measurement or that of your client for the best outcome - Watch till the end to see the changes I made - For a neater finish along the front arm curve, rather than a slanted angle on the extension make is an identical curve to the front arm curve so when you fold it over to sew it fits better - Use a thick fabric if you don't want to line your dress Hope you enjoy this sexy tutorial xx Kim Dave
Going through my 'archives' (I shop even if I don't have any style in mind) I found exactly this fabric, same color i bought last year. Hmmm, I am going to make mine too ! 😁
I swear ehn, I have grown with your teach nd I want to say a very big thanks for your helping us out here, 🤗🤗 u are such amazing woman I love u more, 😍😘😘nd am saying thank again sweetheart 😘 may God continue to reward u nd add more straight to ur elbow amen 🙏🙏
This is a very beautiful dress and the instustioms are very easy to follow. Great job. Also can you share the name of that acrylic tool that you are using to recreate the measurements and curves of the silhouette? Thank you
Put your already cut pieces together ( wrong sides kissing), then sew- that is: if your sewing allowance is 1 inch, see the first time with 0.5 cm. After seeing, trim off a bit, if it is a cotton fabric turn it inside out and press. By turning inside out, your right sides will be inside while the wrong sides is up. Then see on the leftover 0.5cm seam allowance. Flip inside out and press, you'll have a neatly finished piece by this time. Good luck on your next project... Ciao!!
Thanks for the tutorial Kim. Pleas can you teach or show us how to use the pattern master. Omo! it's so difficult to understand all the markings. Thank you
HI KIM! Love this tutorial! But did you mean to say a quarter of your across chest measurment? Because you said half while making the pattern and half of mine would me 79:2 so 39,5 (quarter would be 19,7) and yours was 17cm? I am making this dress atm and I just want to be sure!!
Hello Kim I want to recreate this dress using a fabric like that of a satin Can I use a zipper behind too? I also want to make the lower part flare like, and not a straight gown.. how do I go about that please?
hello Kim plz teach us how to make the puffy sleeve with strings inside i follow u even on tiktok i love wat u do so plzzzz teach us how dat sleeve dia
Love this! It’s easy to follow but I have 1 question on the arm hole part. I’m not sure what you meant by sewing it down and did you sew the a hem for the cowl bit the part that folds in?
The part that is extended upwards, rather than have a slanted angle on the side about the arm curve, it will be easier to stitch if that part is curved like the arm curve
