actually, i've been exposed to japanese culture since young so i know that there's a difference in how japanese feels about the voice. In a Japanese, the voice sounds a little dark. Which i think fits meg well. But this is how japanese feels. remember, different culture.
What do you mean by “dark”? Like she sounds like an seductive villainess? Or is this opera terminology. I agree I’ve never heard a japanese singer sing like that, but maybe villains talk like that in anime.
@@dodgyyoutuber9560 the theme(?). I think in this song meg feel betrayed by hercules. So the voice based on japanese culture fit enough to describe her personality and this situation...comparing the voice of cute bright japanese girl, this sound so mature
Am I the ONLY one here, that is actually impressed with her voice...? They managed to pull of her accent, keeping it perfectly. I'm too busy hearing that to notice the loss of sass.
Sometimes the Japanese voice actors sound like really accurate duplicates of the original (i.e., Aurora or Pocahontas or the Genie in Aladdin). It's interesting to hear one that sounds so different than the original. This actress does her own thing and it's really enjoyable
I agree - except for Japanese, this is what they accept as "tomboyish" and tough girl -- any lower it would have been too rough and low and wouldn't be believable. She wouldn't have been seen as tough AND cute. I know, I know, still too cutesy but hey it's their market.
Thanks so much for giving it English transliteration! I'm trying to teach myself Japanese, and listening to music in Japanese with the English and Japanese in front of me is immensely helpful. There used to be another user (Marii26) who did this, but her vids all got taken down. ;~;
In English, she sounds like a tough broad who's been hurt too many times, grown hard and doesn't realize she's in love again. In Japanese, she sounds like a girl who falls in love too easily and always goes boy crazy through relationship after relationship--and this is just the newest fling. I like it better in English for this one.
Eh I don't know, some of the translation the OP gave is a bit....stiff to the point of sounding a bit off tbh. (and I'm not sure the language used in the english would've perfectly translated and gave the same feeling either honestly XD)
You feel that way just because it's in Japanese and you are not used to it. It actually fits her character. You'd know it for sure if you were Japanese...
AWWW~ amo está canción, es una cosa loca oirla en japo xD (soy mexicana). Gracias por este y los otros videos, me traen recuerdos de una manera... curiosa.
they mix and match words a lot, even in anime. half japanese half english, usually because it sounds better to the person on the other end (or makes more sense).
*_* If only I had known the meaning of tsundere in my childhood this song would make a lot more sense to me like it does now. very nice, and before you start complaining about the engrish i thought it was handled well and the seiyuu didn't miss a beat...
If there's a prize for rotten judgement, I guess I've already won that No man is worth the aggravation That's ancient history, been there, done that Who d'you think you're kidding He's the earth and heaven to you Try to keep it hidden, Honey we can see right through you Girl you can't conceal it We know how you're feeling Who you thinking of No chance no way I won't say it, no no (You swoon you sigh why deny it oh oh) It's too cliche I won't say I'm in love I thought my heart had learned its lesson It feels so good when you start out My head is screaming "Get a grip girl Unless you're dying to cry your heart out Girl you can't deny it Who you are is how you're feeling Baby we're not buying Hon we saw you hit the ceiling Face it like a grown-up When you gonna own up that you got got got it bad No chance no way I won't say it, no no (Give up, give in, check the grin you're in love) This scene won't play I won't say I'm in love (We'll do it until you admit you're in love) You're way off base I won't say it Get off my case I won't say it (Girl don't be proud it's okay you're in love) At least out loud I won't say I'm in love
when they say さあ、さあ、早く a better translation would be "now, now, quickly" it doesnt really matter with the 早く coz it means both hurry and quickly, but さあ is more of now coz in this context the word さあ is like encouragement (yes i know that "now" is 今 in japanese)
I'm not in love, b-baka...
You are best
GELP I REALIZE HOW CRINGE THIS WAS BUT IT WAS NOTHING 7 YEARS AGO 😭
Tsundere Song is Tsundere^^

Tsundere anthem😂

No you are not alone
メグを覚えておいてください:
「決して愛したことがないよりも、愛したり失ったりした方がいい」
アルフレッド・テニスン、英国の詩人。
Thank you for this! I look for Disney songs in Japanese with translation!
Sometimes the Japanese voice actors sound like really accurate duplicates of the original (i.e., Aurora or Pocahontas or the Genie in Aladdin). It's interesting to hear one that sounds so different than the original. This actress does her own thing and it's really enjoyable
FYI, Japanese think this version of Meg's voice is sexy.
Wasn't it always?
It's a cute voice but it doesn't fit Meg at all. She needs a more older mature voice.
Actually, her voice is actually deeper than a girl's normal tone. Also, she used informal words which portrayed her a bit boyish and tough.
AngelicSquid The korean version is better 🤔
Agreed. Nice to know Japanese fucks up our character voices like we do their
I strogly agree

Her Japanese voice is beautiful! I've started listening to Disney songs in other languages and now I want to learn Japanese because of this!😂😍👌
I all ways thought it was better than the English version.
True😊
I love this version, Meg 's voice is beautiful, sexy and cute atau the same time, its fit with the Meg's expression too 😊
Megara is DB's Chichi of Disney for a reason she even sounds like her
Me recuerda a la voz de la dobladora del latino. Personalmente me gusta :)
MAN that voice actress is HEAVENLLY!! if i met someone with that type of voice i woud gladly marry her
She used to be very popular Japanese idol in the late 1980s.
MrGeneralpooh
you mean idol
oops,sorry Yes,I mean idol.not idle
MrGeneralpooh
it okay man

I'm doing the same at this moment
Ooh, this is a pretty good version of the song. I think I might prefer this one to the English dub.
English dub? You mean original.
You're right. Terrible phrasing on my part.
In English, she sounds like a tough broad who's been hurt too many times, grown hard and doesn't realize she's in love again. In Japanese, she sounds like a girl who falls in love too easily and always goes boy crazy through relationship after relationship--and this is just the newest fling. Yeah.
I think it’s because in Japan, a deep voice is often used for evil characters, so they made hers higher.
You feel that way just because it's in Japanese and you are not used to it.
It actually fits her character. You'd know it for sure if you were Japanese...
i really like this version over the original english version!!! its so awesome
her voice is so beautiful
So obsessed with japanese ver 😍😍❤️
Meg sounds too young.
My second most favorite version of this song!!!
I LOVE THIS MORE THAN THE ORIGINAL!
Same.
La cancion de Onodera Ritsu xD
jajaja, es verdad! encaja perfecto para él
100% accurate
Jajajaja 100%
TSUNDERE!!! XD
Heard a former idol sung this. So hard trained idol level voice singing the most Tsundere song. Absolutely brilliant!
Is it just me or is Meg's voice in this to delicate for her character? It sounds to innocent and gentle.
I'm baaaaaaaaaaack. I ALWAYS end up singing this instead of the original. Not because I like it better....it just flows off my tongue better.
Sounds like 90’s Japanese idol
You’re hearing right, the singer behind this is Shizuka Kudo, a famous Jpop idol in the 80’s and 90’s
Disney fan since 1992 so I give my approval to the Japanese vocals for this song ✨👍✨ softer voice but spot on with the resemblance
yep, this is clearly Tsundere :]
"You obstinate child, this is love!"
The fat one, I died when she was trying hang on. xD
i love it when she sings no noo hehehe
My favorite Disney movie in my favorite language!
Her voice is really cute :)
Why do I think of Japan singing this because he has a crush on Greece??....(HETALIAAA!!

This suits her so much!
love her voice!
Everything sounds so cute in japanese
This Meg's voice acter is Kudou Shizuka.
es un tanto divertido escuchar la canción en japonés XD
Pero se escucha bien
"You obstinate child" XD
YOU OBSTINATE CHILD THIS IS LOVE
the og tsundere song
I love the voices of the muses in Japanese. They gave the same hype as the original muses.
I loved it ❤️
Love every thing about japan and japanese culture 💙💙
Not bad. Not bad at all.
this is so sweet in japanese
The English translations was halarious and great!!
(Halarious as in the conversation was funny)
baka janaii! you love him.
Perfeito! Amei
Thankx for the AWESOME translation!!! I can o ly understand about 75% on my own lol ^^,
We do. They have our language, we have their anime.
Okl, so Meg fit perfectly-with sweetie voice, beautiful appearance and disbelief in mens. In other words: Tsundere level acquired.
I like it but I think her voice is just a touch to high (for me).
I love it
her voice sounds soooo pretty in japanese!
shes missing something......Ah! Meg's iconic sass.

Asuka, Taiga, Rin and Natsuki would be proud of this
This anime ending sounds amazing.
This is A LOT better than the short clip of the lion king translated by google in Japanese.
Que hermosa se escucha 💕
This sound like a anime intro from the 1980
What made that decade better than the rest? I just realized they did Victor Hugo AND Hans in the same era.
If there's a prize for rotten judgement,
I guess I've already won that
No man is worth the aggravation
That's ancient history, been there, done that
Who d'you think you're kidding
He's the earth and heaven to you
Try to keep it hidden,
Honey we can see right through you
Girl you can't conceal it
We know how you're feeling
Who you thinking of
No chance no way I won't say it, no no
(You swoon you sigh why deny it oh oh)
It's too cliche I won't say I'm in love
I thought my heart had learned its lesson
It feels so good when you start out
My head is screaming "Get a grip girl
Unless you're dying to cry your heart out
Girl you can't deny it
Who you are is how you're feeling
Baby we're not buying
Hon we saw you hit the ceiling
Face it like a grown-up
When you gonna own up that you got got got it bad
No chance no way I won't say it, no no
(Give up, give in, check the grin you're in love)
This scene won't play I won't say I'm in love
(We'll do it until you admit you're in love)
You're way off base I won't say it
Get off my case I won't say it
(Girl don't be proud it's okay you're in love)
At least out loud I won't say I'm in love
The Chronicles of Hercules and the Tsundere
This song sounds less-tsundere in Japanese alright, not a good thing ~_~
I think it’s good
I love it ♥
First and original tsundere song of my childhood xD
This is so kawaii!!!!! ☺☺😍
everything is clear now Meg is a......TSUNDERE!
so cute
Maki Nishikino's seiyuu, Pile, should do a cover of this Disney song.
Roy Asturias MAKE THIS HAPPEN. IMIWAKANNAI

高評価と低評価の割合見ろよ
LOVE LOVE Japanese !
Fench fan :)
I like this so much better than the original
Now, I'm confused.
Is this song about her not wanting to say she's in love, or how she won't say Japanese translation?
The Japanese translation would've been very long that's why they decided to keep the last sentence in English.
Zettai : absolutely
Si alguien sabe donde encontrar una película de disney en japones digame
Mag is tsundere 💜
メガラ本当は女神ですよ。愛している!
tsundere
Me encanta esta versión xd
so tsundere
I’m learning Japanese so I’m listening to Disney songs lol
Awesome.
I swear the diva's whatever language they sing they could pull it off unlike Meg.
Song of the tsunderes
Wow. Meg's japanese voice is better. Kinda rare that something surpasses the original language.
男なんてもうこりこりwww やばいツボ
Some Japanese letter is wrong, and I’m sorry for saying, but it was funny coz it doesn’t make sense😂
Am I the only one who really likes her voice here? 😅
