  • Foxing legend Robert Bucknell plans a pre-emptive strike against Charlie ahead of lambing time. Assisted by rifleman Nigel, he heads out into the dark (and unusually windy) Essex night. And he's got not one but two foxes in his sights.
Meanwhile in Yorkshire, Stuart Wilson is a man on a mission: to get one roe doe closer to his cull quota. Stalking a familiar territory, he shows us the true value of preparation on the ground and good fieldcraft -- but with all that, you still sometimes need a bit of luck to help you out.

Did anyone else duck at 15:06 when Stuart got over the barbed wire fence and gave us a good view down the muzzle?!

Actually, the cameraman was Stuart - he was filming/stalking alone (see closing credits). The narrator refers to "we" as the audience first person view. In a story telling sense "we" can refer to any number of things - such as subject audience/narrator collectively, and it doesn't necessarily mean the cameraman. The muzzle wasn't pointing at anyone but at an unmanned static camera.

I am sure we are all waiting for the excuse why you swept the camera man with your rifle when you climbed over the fence...School boy error!

Did he have a camera man? Looks to be alone to me.

You need to listen as well!! Min 14.34 the commentator says WE stalk around the wood so I guess there might well be somebody with him...!!
It only highlights how things could go wrong when climbing over a gate/fence etc
and poking a centre fire rifle up someone's nose!!

From the loading of the rifle to the shooting of the deer there was nothing to show it was not unloaded...1000,s of shooters watch your show giving you good opportunity to demonstrate safe shooting practice. People can only comment on what they are told from your show, so saying "we" and swinging a gun at a camera left you open to not only mine, but other people comments from the clip....

Dragging a doe through the muck is not a wise idea, surely a big lump like stuart could have carried thirty odd pound over level ground back to the landie!!!
