My brother has had one of these for about nine months. Beautiful bike and looks good on paper, but he was forever having niggling issues like you have mentioned. His local dealer was absolutely no help here, so he ended up selling the bike and has gone back to Beta. Thanks for sharing your fixes all the same.
It’s really unfortunate the dealer support wasn’t there fire him. There’s a great community on TM riders helping each other out. I’d be happy to help any dealer support their riders.
I had the connector en a switch, so it was easy en it solved the problem. I heard it's fixed on the 22 model. We shall see next week when I resieve it😃
To see visual hesitation: Take pipe off, remove the rubber plug in the plastic PV servo housing, put the pipe back on, lay on the ground look up behind the pipe with a flashlight, have your buddy start engine....my power valve just sits there. takes at least a few throttle rev before it moves.
The simple answer is to take the red and black wire from the diagnostic port and switch it to battery positive. I had to buy a bag of those Sumitomo connectors, so I have some. I’ve been selling a kit with a connector and switch ready to install for $45. What part of the world are you in?
No. Unfortunately if anything it’s louder. I’ve been thinking of cutting off the pipe attachment and welding it to one of the big FMF quiet silencers off of a KTM/Beta whatever and trying that. My bike definitely doesn’t pass sound test. Either the clubs just let me through, or I shove a rag in the exhaust.
Bummer. I really thought the thin metal on the HGS pipe was a large contributer to the noise. Haven't seen any aftermarket mufflers for the 2022 300 yet. Hoping FMF comes out with a turbinecore for it.
@@neim78 me too. It made almost no difference. I’ve been told, though I can’t verify that the bikes with the 3 gallon tank are the only ones that are loud and it stems from the air holes in the side covers. I covered them and it was still loud. But who knows. I’ve been working on a quiet core to add to the end as an experiment. I’m sure it will be more quiet, but you don’t want to interrupt that exhaust flow on the TPi. I added one of those end cap spark arrestors to my stock muffler and it made my bike run terrible.
@@roostafish961 I saw your video on that. It sure seems like a loud exhaust to me than an intake noise. Look forward to a follow up video on the silencer. That hot switch to the ecu was a game changer! Starts so much easier and faster without having to reset the power valve. Thank you for sharing that!

When I mention the connector in this video I named it incorrectly. It is a Sumitomo HM 090. I had to buy 100 of them to get a reasonable price.

I've got a 22 model and it does it

Hello, I am interested into buying your kit👍🏻😃

I would like to buy one of your wiring kits will it work on a 2022?
Shoot me an email and we’ll make it happen.

Did the pro cuircut pipe quiet down the exhaust noise? These bikes sure are loud

Do you have a vid on how to put that switch in?
I did the same mod you did. I have one question tho, with the switch on and when you stop do you hear the servo making a noise
I did the same to. I hear a squeaky sound when the bike is switched off.
Must just be the sound the servo makes but we won't hear it when bike is running
I do hear what sounds like SCR’s powering the headlight. I don’t usually hear the powervalve cycle unless it’s the first start.
@@roostafish961 I bet that's what it is I'll check next time out
How does one go about purchasing plug/switch from you?
Send me an email. mmmbikey@yahoo.com
Is this issue just with fuel injected models?
No carb as well...
Hi,you put switch on + cable?
Yes. Just bring 12v to the ECU to keep it live.
