@@crystall9522 Hi Crystal, that is true, but I would assume that since the fetus is over 30 years old that would be highly unlikely. I also.just want to say, to everyone who read my comment; I didn't mean any harm, just factually but maybe not tactfully written as I'm used to doing, so I apologise for any shock. But Crystal, you bring up a fantastic point and I highly recommend women look into birthing the placenta before cutting the cord (we did because of the benefits) there is no danger in it and the blood inside is all for baby and naturally stops pulsating when it detaches as afterbirth! It does make me wonderwhy some victorian practices are still held, like women birthing on their backs, how bloody uncomfortable!!

Thank you for your time and information... As much as I was well aware of this through common sense, some psycho do not know this or pretend not to know if they have medical background... and I hope this would be a lesson to those who may or may not be aware; especially females who have had pregnancy or given birth before... Brother's wife peed a lot and later we found she had a tumor that kept pressing her bladder... They had to operate and take out quite a large cyst along with a part of her uterus... So Yes! It was a lesson for me to know that peeing a lot is a sign of attention needed to the uterus... Especially the toxins need to be removed... The placental fluid in itself is toxic that is why when the water breaks they hurry to take the child out before it consumes (had one such incident of a death of twins of my tenant's) and dies... I have seen those preserved cadaver... Especially the one in the glass jar... My zoology lab instructor(Nimmy Rachael) told us those were formaldehyde... The solution? Do you people change it... Seemingly it's in an open jar; unlike my school zoology lab which had sealed jars with many sizes to show the stages... You must be immune to that smell... We are usually advised not to have too much food when entering our zoology lab... With that smell... This many cadaver, you are really good to have handled this situation well... And you forgot to show that the uterus is right in front and in the middle (alignment) of those two kidneys... It gets pressed too that is why the enlargement (you explained)...
My brain didn't process how long 30ish weeks are in months so let's just say I was caught off guard with the size of the fetus. I love watching this channel, I learn so much and I've always been one to constantly seek new knowledge, even if it's something that I won't implement in my day to day life.
Thanks a LOT! I've been wondering the size of the uterus vs bladder for so long. Drawings weren't helping but this does, with your hand going near, it's easy to have an actual scale. crazy how much liquid the bladder can hold lol
The preserved fetus is remarkable, thank you for the disclaimer and respect! I've never had a baby, but I've learned so much from this, this is awesome.
Our nice guide reminds me of Paul Rudd. I enjoyed this video very much. I have two kids and I had to pee waaay too often during my pregnancies. Especially at the beginning of the first one, I didn't even know I was pregnant at that time :)
There is another side to this- perimeno and meno. When my peri symptoms started, bam, the peeing way much more also started. It had been VERY annoying and has made me scared to do much anymore. It adds to the crippling anxiety peri causes in general. I never know day to day if it's going to be a pee day. I can dehydrate myself and sweat and everything and still have to pee alot! I hope you can do something on WHY this happens during the midlife change. Also the bloating cycles, which of course means at some point the excess fluid will be expelled, and yes, can be one of those dehydration and peeing constantly days. Is there a way to suppress relaxin? I never even heard of that hormone before! I am not pregnant, never have been, but this peri adventure gives me this peeing issue AND I have had legit false morning sickness! WHAT is going on?
I really respect you and your explanations. You have a fantastic way of explaining complicated processes in layman's terms anyone can understand. I really appreciate you. :) I feel like you're answering all these questions I've had with real answers.
I had a problem during my first oregnancy where the tube on my right kidney was restricted and causing pain. Was given medications incase it was a kidney stone that caused pain but they found that baby had been oressing down in that tube with how much i laid on my right side
In love how these videos have the right amount of seriousness and humor while the instructors give very easy to understand lectures. "Sorry, Jeffery. You can't come!" Lol.
That's crazy! My first baby was born at 27 weeks and I think he was about the same size as the fetus you had there. He was 2 lbs 6 oz. He's a happy normal 3 year old atm and you would not imagine he was a preemie.
I plan on giving my body to a medical school for dissection. I have been wondering if writing a brief history, or not so brief history of my life, when I put my body through, and what is happened to it would help students when they examined and prophesies due to the what they find on indicating my lifestyle. I know in England quite a number of years ago they moved a cemetery. And moving the cemetery they examined forensically the people that have passed away. It went back for several hundred years. Diaries of The deceased was very useful in comparing to the findings. For example: A gentleman, due to the condition of his bones and teeth etc. Two of been quite old. Instead he was comparatively young only in his 30s. Another skeleton of a woman they thought that she was around 35 or 40, it turned out that she was in her 80s. Of course she had deformed ribs do the corsets, but they had her diary. She was extremely disciplined with diet and exercise and took very good care of yourself remaining active until the day she died. What a diary assist in the education a future doctors and morticians? The only regret I have is that I can’t be there to see what they discover. How much plaque I have in my veins? The condition of my organs? What will my heart tell them? What about my brain? I have Asperger syndrome would that help?
Great video, I was hoping that we would get to see a A fetus in utero at 30 weeks. That would be extremely useful to see how the other organs have been moved and how big in relation to it’s pre pregnancy size the womb gets. But it was very interesting anyway.
So interesting! Can you possibly do a video more on kidneys?? CKD, kidney transplants, anything kidney related? I will inevitably need a transplant one day- seeing a real human kidney like that was fascinating, educational, helpful, and so cool! lol
I am on dialysis after having my two massive Polycystic Kidneys Removed in 2019 and have been on Dialysis for two years now. It would be great if you could do video on polycystic kidneys and possibly renal replacement therapies. Kidney disease isn’t widely known and understand as much as something like cancer is. The world needs to know more about Renal impairment and Kidney Failure etc... my Polycystic Kidneys were huge. The left side kidney weighed 11.7kg and had grown about 1.9ft in length and the right sided kidney weighed 10.3kg and had grown to about 1.3ft in length. The left Polycystic Kidney had a cyst that stretched the entire length of the underside of the entire kidney. They drained the fluid so they could remove it during the operation and not get the fluid everywhere and the amount of fluid removed from that cyst was just over (2.0 litres) which is a massive volume of fluid. So please do a video about Polycystic Kidney Disease. Myself and I’m sure many other Kidney patients around the world would appreciate it.
Learnt all this now after 7 pregnancies others were miscarried n 4 survived all my kids are big n im a granny n learning this now. Wish our gynae took more time explaining it
Do the kidneys stay bigger than normal after giving birth? Do you have to consider if a woman was pregnant or not when considering her as organ donor? Is she a better organ donor, because the other kidney can accommodate the loss of one kidney?
Kidneys will return to normal. I haven't seen any data on the organ donor question though, but due to the kidney returning to normal functioning I can't see a huge benefit. There would be greater questions about if a pregnant woman is a good surgical candidate due to the current pregnancy.
It always amazes me how small human organs actually are, especially because I always used to wonder just how everything (muscles, bones, organs) fit inside the body of super-thin people.
And cue the tears for that BABY. That was someone's BABY. Doesn't help that I'm pregnant myself at the moment. It's wonderful that they turned that tragedy into somethong good to help others, but my heart still breaks for those parents who lost their son. 😭
Oh my goodness, yes. I mean, it's AMAZING and WONDERFUL that the family donated him so future doctors can learn more about fetuses, but I feel so heartbroken for his family. I just had a son about 5 months ago now, and I'm simply stunned by how much this preserved fetus looks like a living baby.
It’s an amazing process that less and less people are learning to appreciate. More people are worrying about their identities and how they represent themselves rather than just how amazing those associated structures truly are. I feel the clothes you wear, the name you go by, the pronouns you associate with. Have 0 to do with the genitals you are born with. They are there for a purpose and they are amazing, parts of the body that need to be appreciated more and less hated and associated with stereotypes.

Your videos are so helpful and entertaining at the same time! Seeing the real organs helps a lot in memorising and understanding the physiology.
Damn, women suffer very much! I loved how he showed respect and made people relax espeacially women of course. Thank you hot doctor!
Thanks a LOT! I've been wondering the size of the uterus vs bladder for so long. Drawings weren't helping but this does, with your hand going near, it's easy to have an actual scale. crazy how much liquid the bladder can hold lol
Explain to me why after 4 kids, 12 years ago, why I can't cough, fart, sneeze, laugh, or blink without peeing a little
You've wrecked your vag, that's why.
The preserved fetus is remarkable, thank you for the disclaimer and respect! I've never had a baby, but I've learned so much from this, this is awesome.
Thank you for not being "afraid" of showing us this wonderful fetus. I've never seen anything like it. So interesting.
Pro life gang
7:58 That's a very creative way of describing it! 😂😂😂
My daughter was born at 29 weeks n now is 13 . very interesting information thanks so much , i learned something new today.
I appreciate calling us women and not some degrading sh1t like "pregnant people" or "people with uteruses".
Truly, i do.
Our nice guide reminds me of Paul Rudd. I enjoyed this video very much. I have two kids and I had to pee waaay too often during my pregnancies. Especially at the beginning of the first one, I didn't even know I was pregnant at that time :)
The foetus is older than me. It is amazing how well they preserved it.
I'm around the same age as the fetus :D
I know. Seeing his little feet and toes was really awe inspiring.
he is such a coool teacher. i regret that i discovered about this chanel so late!! amazing content loved it
Can we see a video on the effects of people eating their placenta? I recently learnt that that is a thing!
Wow! This was so fascinating. I really appreciate how respectful your lab is to the fetus. Thank you for sharing :)
These videos are soo helpful 👍
"Say thanks to Geoffrey"
Me, also named Geoffrey: no problem
I really enjoy these in depth videos that show real organs instead of cgi. It’s cool to see a real cadaver
I had a problem during my first oregnancy where the tube on my right kidney was restricted and causing pain. Was given medications incase it was a kidney stone that caused pain but they found that baby had been oressing down in that tube with how much i laid on my right side
😬
In love how these videos have the right amount of seriousness and humor while the instructors give very easy to understand lectures. "Sorry, Jeffery. You can't come!" Lol.
Your videos should be shown on all sex Ed classes all over the world tbh
Yeah…. I’m not ready to look at the baby yet. Thank you for the warning and seriousness.
"Baby time" - dude, you are hilarious. Thanks for a great video.
This video is just super awesome 🔥🔥... everyone deserves a anatomy teacher like you... sir....u are just awesome
.. love from India..❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
His way of teaching makes 👍good observation.
That's crazy! My first baby was born at 27 weeks and I think he was about the same size as the fetus you had there. He was 2 lbs 6 oz. He's a happy normal 3 year old atm and you would not imagine he was a preemie.
28 weeks pregnant. Thank you for this video! Super interesting!
Why does skin tend to sag when you get older? Could please do a video on it
I was two days away from birthing my youngest son and when I completely peed myself at Walmart. I thought my water broke. I did get checked out btw.
Lol I love how he held up both of the kidneys and said cute kidneys 😂 but I’m so glad I’m done. I had tubal ligation so not likely to have more babies
“Cute little organs called kidneys”
Then you have mine whom of which refuse to stop making kidney stones no matter how much water I drink
Can confirm: fetuses love doing mixed martial arts on your bladder.
Your channel gives good information. 😊.That's why I like it!
Thank you so much!
I want to be as good a teacher as Jonathon. He’s clear and engaging. Jonathon please come to Australia
I have my science exam tomorrow so this helps....
Well not really, but it helps me be productive while I’m procrastinating
Learnt all this now after 7 pregnancies others were miscarried n 4 survived all my kids are big n im a granny n learning this now.
Wish our gynae took more time explaining it
Do y'all think it could be possible to explain how and why we hear our stomach growling when we're hungry? It's something I've always wondered about
Do the kidneys stay bigger than normal after giving birth? Do you have to consider if a woman was pregnant or not when considering her as organ donor? Is she a better organ donor, because the other kidney can accommodate the loss of one kidney?
Kidneys will return to normal. I haven't seen any data on the organ donor question though, but due to the kidney returning to normal functioning I can't see a huge benefit. There would be greater questions about if a pregnant woman is a good surgical candidate due to the current pregnancy.
Can you do a video on what will happen if the two half of the brain is separated
This channel is my happy place, besides doing my yoga practice and teaching yoga. Thank you so much :)
I appreciate how much work my body has been doing to grow this baby now. I understand why I'm so tired now lol
It always amazes me how small human organs actually are, especially because I always used to wonder just how everything (muscles, bones, organs) fit inside the body of super-thin people.
I like you just see body bags in the background 😂
I mean, it *is* an anatomy lab sooo...there's gonna be anatomy in it.
@@RedRoseSeptember22 I know, I was Just stating facts.
My partner is currently going through pregnancy, 20 weeks and 2 days as of this comment, I have gone through the vast resource which is this channel and it’s helped both me and my partner understand just that bit more about what is going on, week up the amazing work
Your wife. Just say "my wife" ffs. We've gotten so politically correct, we dehumanize people.
J Do but we aren’t married so she is my partner?
I have had kidney problems since birth... had 2/3 of my left kidney removed then total reconstruction of my ureter and the top of my bladder. In 2012 I had another reconstruction done and was dealing with my kidneys not functioning at 100%. I got pregnant in 2014 and due to them enlarging a bit and my organs moving around... my kidney function improved dramatically! Haven't had an issue since. Crazy!
I enjoy your programs they so interesting its help me understand so much why I pee more why my bladder is weak why i get migraine why igot GERT eyc etc thank you on my next life i want to learnto be a doctor 🤗😏🤔😌I hope you my teacher 😉
Your videos are so well put together! Respectful and very informative, even for those who won’t find it easy looking at real life organs and such. You explain everything so nicely and in the right amount of detail. I’m so happy I found your channel! Keep it up
The body is absolutely amazing! Grateful for you guys teaching us! Thank you sooo much 😊🤘🏻💋
I am biology teacher in high school.. your videos help me alot.. thank you soooo much guys..
Can you explain how someone get paralyzed
