Hi well that was an interesting walk indeed.Thanx , i can now say ive seen some of Niiagra falls, being an armchair traveller your walk ranks as one of the better scenic visits, your panning was very good ; i liked how you captered some of the interesting buildings around the town and the way you went over the railings in order to get a better look at the water. Hope your camera is ok you probably wont be subjecting it to that much dampness, those little machines are quite durable actually . So now ill subscribe so i can see some of your other walks.

Great video Johnny and Happy Birthday weekend! Niagara Falls is one of my favourite Ontario locations (I am in Mississauga). Regarding the free parking, at the corner of Ferry/Stanley, if you had turned left and walked along Stanley a couple of blocks, you can park anywhere on those residential streets on the left.

Appreciate your excellent video John. It’s somewhat bittersweet as it brings back memories of my brother who passed away in August, we had several great trips to Niagara Falls and Toronto. It’s so strange to see so much open space without people. It’s been about 5 years or so since we’ve been there and it seems that the government or province has pumped some money into the city. Say what you want about Clifton Hill, but I enjoy the ambiance and you do have to say it succeeds in its purpose to separate people from their money very well. Thank you very much for an excellent video and your excellent and not overly obtrusive commentary.

Hi Johnny from England. I have seen the Falls a few times in the 1960s and 70s when visiting family in Canada (Deseronto, Ont) and the US (Syracuse, NY) However this up close and personal walk brought back the memory of my first visit in 1966. We were travelling from New York and arrived after dark. I had expected to see the falls from below and was astonished to see the top of Horseshoe from the footpath where you were filming and it was floodlit. You have brought back a wonderful memory.
P.S. You have an English counterpart named John Rogers. He does wonderful walking videos around London.

Originally from Niagara Falls USA, and live in Florida since I retired from the US Navy.
While growing up spent half my time on the Canadian side and loved both the Park and Clifton Hill, loved that street.
Was pleased to see the War Memorial, near the entrance to the Park, would always stop there to Honor these who gave their all for their Country.
Was planning to go home this year, but unfortunately the Pandemic changed my plans.

Good Video. I live here, in the Falls and people are still coming here and even came here, in the Spring when everything was shut down. They opened one washroom, on the Parkway by the Falls, so people would have a place to go, but many did their business in the surrounding bushes. It was a disgusting Spring here. Hundreds come here every weekend and it can get crazy. The Frankenstein Burger King, at the beginning of Clifton Hill, that little Roller Coaster, at the top of the building was just put in this year and it is functioning. We, here in the Falls, feel Clifton Hills should be shut down, for it is an amusement park/area, but maybe since you don't have to pay to walk around and see things, they can get away with staying open. Many from lock down areas are coming here, and we really want people to stay in their own Region. Our numbers are now going up and just this past week, December 10th, someone from outside of the area was here and they were displaying signs of the Covid. They went to hospital but later passed. Not sure where this person walked around or who they were with, but they passed in our Niagara Hospital, but were not from Niagara. Our cases jumped from 34 one day to 65 the next, and it's all mainly due to people coming here, from outside of the area. We are asking that people, not from this Region, respect the residents of this Community and stay home. Marineland was open, but the rides were shut down. You could still come for the shows and a walk around to the splash pool and see the animals or buy some stuff out of the shops and eat some food. The shut down, just affected the rides. HornBlower was running, but only allowed to have a certain amount of people on board. Maid of the Mist was also running, and they were filled to capacity. It was interesting to see the two levels of restrictions. Zipline was running. Pretty much everything was running, except for the rides in Marineland. Alot of these places, are now shut down, but thats due to the winter season.
