I barely eat and workout, SIBO still made me gain so much weight ...extremely frustrating.

Very awesome yet simplistic explanation. What’s funny is, how many people are stressed out in this crazy world? High stress = low stomach acid which is a recipe for SIBO, and thus immune dysfunction, autoimmune issues, and weight gain. Been there, done that, got the t-Shirt.

I can never thank you enough for putting this content out there. I have been struggling with stomach problems for nearly half my life! I wish you lived in Australia it’s so difficult to find good help whenever I mention sibo to my doctor they look at me like I’m crazy and just tell me I have ibs and to do fodmap!

I'm glad I can help, even if it is just via TH-cam :) It does sound like it's time to fire that doctor, though. Have you tried working with a naturopath? There must be at least one SIBO-savy ND in Australia!

If you're in Sydney, book an appt with Dr Ameeta Gajjar at the Wholistic Medical Centre in Surry Hills. I'm seeing good results so far.

I’ve been struggling with my eating habits and developed SIBO in 2019. I gained weight this year and this video was helpful. I was getting frustrated with my weight gain so it was useful to understand the science behind what is happening. I’m waiting to see a GI doctor and a naturopath and working with a dietitian currently and figure this out.

I was sporty with a middle-range BMI before I ruined my gut flora in India by taking gut antibiotics for 30 days. My gut flora never recovered and I have high Methane Sibo and most likely also Sulfur Sibo since 2017.
I track my calories, do intermittent fasting, track optimal glucose levels, meet RDA’s daily, ideal bloodwork, work out 4-5x times week but can’t get below two kilos over my BMI despite being healthy other than chronic SIBO.
So your video explantion is highly appreciated 🙏🏽💜
I apparently need to address SIBO and repeat herbal protocols or antibiotic more often than once every 1.5 year.

Actually all I've experienced with SIBO was tremendous weight loss and fatigue!! It was scary. However, now that we're curing the SIBO and the gut dysbiosis (slowly but surely), I can tell that my nutritional absorption is getting way better. In fact, here recently -- I'm beginning to trend upward (weight wise). I'm finally gaining a pound or two. I'm watching this video because I want to keep balanced and look for signs if I start having the OPPOSITE problem, i.e., unexplained or uncontrollable weight gain. It seems like it's always something with SIBO. 🙁

Question. Does having a hysterectomy and not being on HRT have effect on getting SIBO or making it worse? I had a hysterectomy 2 years ago and didnt go on HRT. Ive somehow managed to aquire Pylori and SIBO. Tests say Pylori is gone. So SIBO i guess is the one still killing me. *sigh* Im not holding you to your answer but can u tell me if you think not being on HRT has any bearing on all this or can maybe help me if i get on them? Everything you're saying i have been going through since the hysterectomy. I have terrible physicians so Im left in the hands of the internet.

For anyone experiencing this terrible condition, muscle aches, joint pain, daytime fatigue, lots of burping (even without eating) and a white coated tongue are pretty common so don’t rush to run to the Doctor because of joint or muscle pain right away.
