All my xwing small bases have metal washers glued to the bottom, Home Depot washer part #3209...best side to get the glue is the side without the part #. It adds a little weight to the ship and with all my ships and pegs being magnetized, if you knocked them with your hand a bit the ship will spin on the peg a bit and the whole base will barely move. Plus, moving the ship around the mat is easier coz with the washer on the bottom, the base glides across the mat really well without the bottom side scrapping and catching on the mat. The washer will also stick to any magnetized surface.
I was thinking of magnetizing my X-Wing bases when I get 2.0. I have done it for Legion and love it and have started doing it to my 40K armies as well.
When I doing tourney's or league, i bring a small bait box that fits 1 large ship and multiple small ships with the exact amount of tokens and damage deck. Rulers are carried separately in a small bag.
I use those deep fishing tackle boxes to store my Armada and X-Wing v1 cards. They're sorted by type and I just take a list or two when I play. If I had that much shelf space to spare it would be piles of books and my Lego minifigures collection.
i have seen many people do the magnets on bases. I use a very small single tray box for star trek attack wing as i got sick of bringing everything to each game, i just put in what i need for the list i am running.
One thing ive been doing for a bit of a space saver for casual games is instead of shield tokens, I use the speed dials for Armada as shield counters. Only a few ships need more than one.
Jak I use dice for shields and Hull damage. Saves table space and the extra weight holds the pilot cards down a bit too. I use the damage deck for crits only.
I'm keeping all my stuff in binders. I guess I like flipping through pages. I'm going to use all my old 16-pocket pages to store the small ship base tokens and I bought special pages to put disassembled dials in since I just bought and painted some dial upgrades.
Does dusting every become a problem? As for the cardboard, I'm trying (coin) pages for the small base and Dials. Haven't done anything with my 2.0 stuff yet.
I'm still trying to decide how to store, and transport my 2.0 collection. For storage for my 1.0 collection, I am using a BattleFoam P.A.C.K Go (backpack). For transportation, I'm using a Plano Double Cover tote in a Mandalorian backpack. For the Second Edition stuff I have now (Rebel and Imperial, I'm using an older version of BattleFoam, and I just moved the 1.0 lists back to the P.A.C.K. Go for storage. I'm planning to get another Plano tote, or two, in the future. One for for my lists, and one for teaching purposes.
I have been considering the same storage solution just to have the ships ready to go. Nothing drags more than taking time to set up and then taking more time away between games.
Yeah that's a sweet collection! Only downfall of this game is that you need a lot of time and patients to play it takes awhile to set up and you have a epic game it could go on for hours and it takes forever to clean up and on top of that its kind of hard to find other players atleast for me because I dont have anyone to play with and my local game shop doesnt host tournaments for xwing and my friends arnt into that stuff like i am so I just have a bunch of ships and just there for one day when i do play
I use card sleeves in a binder for all of the cards, cardboard, and dials. The four by four each holds the little cards, the dials, and the small cardboard. You seem to have the same thing, but try putting in the dials and the cardboard. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01ARJ9AT0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I still wish that there weren't so many cardboard based in x wing. One base per dial would have been enough and would have cut down on the amount also.
Loving it. Can you show us your Armada storage and displays? I keep coming back for Armada bat reps :P Got my friends into it recently and I recently started. Thanks for the videos. :D
I put all my Armada Cards in a Card Holder, and each ship has a baggy with its titles and ship cards and a seperate baggy with the defence tokens and command dials + speed dial in it underneath each ship.
don't see why not... i think if you have small enough magnets you can add it to x-wing bases. my current card storage is star wars tins for star wars playing cards... got them at a dollar tree... the mini cards from imperial assault i have star war tins from dollar tree that came with qtips.
It's certainly a complicated approach. And the anser isn't to start tournaments. I'd suggest talking to a store that sells Armada product, making sur ethey are ok with a date and time to demo, and bringing in enough stuff for 2 fleets. Do more than a core set, but not too much, as you don't want to overwhelm people. Maybe around 300 points? Try to include an ISD, as they are really pretty and recognizable. Let people play a round or 2, get feel for it, and set up some type of social media platforms to keep players in your area connected. Facebook groups are good for this, so is meetup, or even a bulletin board. Start with a once a month game night where people can show up and play - then maybe weekly depending on interest. (Hopefully more Armada ships will get printed soon and more things will come back in stock too!)

I like the ideas since 2.0 cards are all the same size that will be a plus if you are putting them in a container or folder.

Garey Conley your ships must look like pressed flowers... ALL your stuff in binders?
.. come on.
Your tokens and dice will go missing.

Would like to see the full collection
very good idea

Like to see the box fully loaded for a game
Sold my whole xwing collection and storage solution. Kicking myself.
Probably should have turned in that 30rd mag to supply.
Souvenir!
Crabbok - no judgement, just an observation. I can neither confirm nor deny that similar souvenirs can be found in my garage.
do somebody save the original packing of the miniatures? i have it all, and it takes amounts of space
Do you still use this setup?
deez
What game is that AR-15 mag for ;)
The game of life.
Hi everyone.
How could I promote Armada at the store I go to, and mabye start tournament s , because I'm the only that plays it

Thanks, I'll try to start a demo and explain it
